War, War, War See other War, War, War Articles Title: Fool Me Twice: Biden Says No Exit from Afghanistan There is one thing you can count on when it comes to establishment politicians. If their mouths are moving they are lying. Joe Bite Me Biden, second-in-command front man, is no exception. Not long ago Biden said a drawdown will mean a lot of people moving out by next July but now he has second thoughts. He told ABCs This Week that the number of U.S. troops leaving Afghanistan could be as few as a couple of thousand troops. Biden says its too early to judge whether the U.S. strategy in Afghanistan will succeed, but he says there is progress, reports the Associated Press. A record 103 NATO troops were killed in June, the deadliest month of the nearly 9-year-old war for international forces. Last month at the conclusion of the globalist confab in Toronto Obama derided critics of the war and said they are obsessed with withdrawing from Afghanistan. He said the U.S. would assist Afghans for for a long time to come. In other words, Obama said the U.S. will never leave Afghanistan. Biden reaffirmed this plan on ABC. I think that right now the debate surrounding Afghanistan is presented as either we get up and leave immediately because theres no chance at a positive outcome, or we stay basically indefinitely and do quote unquote whatever it takes for as long as it takes, said Obama. Obama said the July 2011 date now put in doubt by Biden does not mean the U.S. will suddenly turn off the lights and let the door close behind us. Instead, the door will be propped wide open and the Pentagon will insert more troops and bring the number to 98,000. In May, the number of troops in Afghanistan surpassed the number in Iraq. 92,000 troops remain in Iraq and the numbers are still not dropping in any sort of significant way. The Obama Administration has promised that by August of this year, there will be only 50,000 non-combat troops left in Iraq. Since making that promise 15 months ago, only a handful of troops have left, and 94,000 US troops are still there, still engaging in combat missions, Jason Ditz wrote for Antiwar.com in May. Privately officials have conceded that the drawdown is being reconsidered, in as much as it is virtually impossible now. Meanwhile the shell game continues. U.S. commander in Iraq Gen. Ray Odierno says that the drawdown is on track and that he is fully committed to meeting the deadline. Polls consistently show that the American people want the troops out of Afghanistan pronto. 60 percent want to stick to the plan to start withdrawal of forces in July of next year, even if the country is still as unstable as it is today. Only 37 percent are, a Bloomberg poll reveals. 58 percent of those surveyed think the war is a lost cause, compared to 36 percent who think that winning is even a possibility. A Pew Research/National Journal Congressional Connections poll on July 8-11 found that a whopping 42 percent of people surveyed want to remove troops ASAP, up ten points since February, writes Robert Greenwald. It should be obvious by now that the twin occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan are not about to end anytime soon. The Afghan war sold as a bold response to al-Qaedas attack on September 11, 2001, but in fact planned well before that false flag attack is now the longest military conflict in U.S. history. It does not matter what the American people want. Our rulers plan to keep feeding troops into the meat grinder indefinitely. In 2012, the Romney-Palin ticket or whatever configuration the establishment comes up with will argue that Obamas Afghan strategy has failed and more troops must be sent to defeat the enemies of freedom created by the CIA.
