An unmarked police patrol vehicle parked behind the State College Borough Municipal building, 243 S. Allen St., was intentionally set on fire at 3:30 a.m. Sunday morning.
The car was totaled due to heavy damage on the front end, police said.
Police are investigating whether this incident is connected with the June 21 arson of another unmarked police patrol cruiser parked in the same lot.
In the June 21 incident, a State College Police officer observed an unknown package of fire on the trunk area of the vehicle between 1:15 a.m and 1:30 a.m.
