If one listens to Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck or especially the more overt Neo-conservatives such as Frum, Wolfowitz, Levin, etc. this corruption is apparent for all to see. Notice how these conservatives (just to use the label they claim) take certain elements of traditionalism or traditional conservatism (such as anti-communism, Christianity, strong national defense, etc.) and use these to promote fundamentally Left-wing or "Progressive" agendas. Limbaugh will often talk about the virtues of the free-market, a traditionally Right-wing idea, and claim that this is good because it's anti-racist and is the best way to help minorities and promotes equality in society. Mainstream Republicans and conservatives consistently do this. They seem to have accepted the Leftist goal of egalitarianism and yet cover this anti-conservative agenda with Rightist terminology. They dress up democratic-socialism with "conservative" clothing. Apart from the fact that I really don't wish to conserve much at all about our present system of government and popular culture, I also don't call myself a "conservative" because I wish to distance myself from the likes of Limbaugh, Beck, Gingrich and Frum. I don't want people to be all be made the same by government. I don't want a world of interchangable cogs. Equality is not my goal and I'm not in any way sympathetic towards an egalitarian society. The only kind of equality I believe in is equal justice before the law. As a traditionalist (who happens to be very anti-statist and pro-liberty) I see a natural order in the universe on the mass scale as well as the local and small scale. Mankind has a certain place in the natural universe. Men and women fulfill certain roles and compliment each other in families to create society. People have differing abilities, disabilities and passions. All societies have a natural hierarchy which forms through voluntary interaction even without the force of government. Different cultures produce different sorts of unique societies, some more technologically advanced than others. Fundamentally, inequality then (and again, a natural inequality which gives rise to heroes and civilisation) is very much what the Right-wing is all about. This is not to say that we like to see people suffer in poverty or that we don't approve of charity. Rather, while we do have compassion for our fellow man and embrace Christian morality, we also understand that different abilities and choices are going to lead to different outcomes. Traditionalists embrace inequality for a host of reasons and reject attempts by Leftists to destroy the natural world. Affirmative action, feminism, multi-culturalism, mass immigration and the like are tools used by Leftists to destroy natural societies and "level the playing field." Hand-wringing Marxist professors who fret over racial inequality and gender-victimisation theories utterly wreck our culture. They use the power of the state to beat down the naturally gifted, elite and potential heroes. Their entire focus is on under-achievers, the disabled and those who habitually make poor choices. They spend their time worrying about how to artificially raise these people up. Meanwhile, they spurn the gifted and natural leaders (while they raise up artificial democratic "leaders") and therefore rob all of society. While we are rejecting them as personally offensive to our traditional and organic sensibilities, we need to remember who we are, where we come from and what values we hold dear - and therefore reject the Leftist goals, not just their means of achieving them.

The relationship between morality and liberty is a directly proportional one.
Technically speaking, the market doesn't care about race, or social status. Dollars buy products, producers scurry to meet the demands of money, coming from consumers. Race doesn't enter the picture. In a way, Limbaugh is correct. "Progressives" are not about eliminating race consciousness, they are 100% for making it a facet of life. This was all learned, by me, in the 1980's, long before His Majesty Lord Obeyme came to power.

It's about votes. The people in power care only about staying in power. They could give a damn less about what is good for the country. They'd say, and do anything to keep that power.
It is better to be hated for what you are, than loved for what you are not. - Tommy The Mad Artist.
Being against racism isn't a "left/progressive" owned goal. Where do these people get this kind of thinking?
