Officer Stephanie Mohr…a forgotten victim of illegal immigration

Officer Stephanie Mohr and Valk

On the night of September 21, 1995, Prince George’s County Police Officer Stephanie Mohr was on patrol in Takoma Park, Maryland, when her and her partner Sgt. Anthony Delozier, got a call to provide backup to another officer who was responding to a burglary at a business.

When they arrived on the scene, two suspects, Ricardo Mendez and Herrera Cruz were exiting the roof of the business. Mendez and Cruz, both illegal aliens, were yelling back and forth to one another in Spanish.

The first responding officer told the two to face the wall. Mendez reportedly made a motion as if he was going to run. That’s when Mohr, a K-9 officer, released Valk, her German Shepherd. Valk bit Mendez on the leg and held him while he was placed in handcuffs.

Both Mendez and Cruz were charged with 4th degree burglary. Cruz pled guilty and was deported back to Mexico. In addition to immigration violations, Mendez was convicted of selling crack cocaine and deported to El Salvador.

The incident was just another in a typically tough day for the Prince Georges police officer.

Then, five years later, the U.S. Department of Justice indicted Mohr for violating Ricardo Mendez’s civil rights.

The jury voted 11-1 to acquit Mohr, and the proceeding ended in a mistrial. However, the federal government tried her again, this time, even flying Mendez from El Salvador, and Cruz from a jail cell in Texas to testify against her.

In the second trial, the prosecution team painted Mohr as a racist, and this time they got a conviction. She was sentenced to 10 years in prison for violating the civil rights of an illegal alien drug dealer.

In August 2002, Mohr was taken to prison, where she remains today. Her release date is November 27, 2011. At the time she began serving her sentence, her son, Adam, who she was raising on her own, was 4-years-old.

We are all familiar with the persecution of Border Patrol Agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean, after they pursued and shot an illegal alien drug smuggler. The two spent two years in federal prison after the Justice Department prosecuted them.

Of course, there are many other officers who have been unfairly prosecuted for denying illegal aliens their ‘civil right,’ usually on the orders of the Mexican government. But few have heard the sad story of Stephanie Mohr.

If only that were the whole truth.

But then again, I don't believe illegal aliens have civil rights (they have human rights, of course) so why was one of the suspects, after being deported, discovered to be back in the US and given the red-carpet treatment usually only afforded survivors of unpopular genocides?

Ten years ago?

It was just before that the PGC Police Dept. had its embarrassing run in with the FBI.

Because the Prince George cops had a rep for gratuitous abuse of blacks the FBI showed up at the police station in force and arrested all the PGC cops and locked them in their own holding cells, and then they left.

The incident was not reported in the MS press but it got out.

Officer's Mohr's prosecution was preceded by bad blood between (allegedly abused) black VIPs from Balt-Wash and Prince George's County, and THAT is why the FEDs were (and still are) interested in the PGC cops' treatment of minorities. This prosecution was in keeping with a promise made years before. And, even now the county police are under investigation for other alleged abuses of our less fortunate bruthas and sistas.

The explanation of how a dog was used as a weapon against a compliant suspect is evidence of a criminal cop subculture acting under color of law to savage minorities. And, because Officer Mohr was the handler it was ultimately her decision to release the dog which is why she's in jail. (Had she refused the order or at least objected then her apologists would have legs on which to perch)

The people trying to generate sympathy for this cop are also trying to whitewash the border shooting of an illegal Mojado, completely overlooking the fact that in both cases the use of force was excessive and therefore unjustified.

Even I (I'm not known for my fondness of "colort peepul") believe that use of force by cops should be measured and only escalate as needed because "if they can do it to them then they can do it to me".

It's interesting to note that The Feds will prosecute local cops (The 4 LAPD in the Rodney King case) for doing the same things that the FEDs do.

The Feds violated the civil rights of The Weavers and The Branch Davidians and countless people who were swept up and whisked away to GITMO. But, none of those victims had an in with The Clinton White House.

Poppy Bush was facing reelection when he expressed "shock" at the Rodney King video, but as the former DCI he was responsible for countless cases of abuse and murders of little brown leftists who posed problems for American pirate corporations. Bush was no doubt added inspiration for Chile's Former President and then Senator-For-Life Augusto Pinochet.

And, you'd think that one FBI agent would go rogue and expose the agency's role in the Israeli spy ring-9/11 coverup.

No, all Prince George County Police had to do was rough up one friend of Kweisi Mfume or any other influential Baltimore bigshot, or any black with friends over the line in DC. As luck would have it the cops roughed up all blacks at every opportunity, presumably to build a rep that would keep opportunity seeking crims from commuting from DC to PG County and burglarizing homes of working residents.

Despite this and other examples the "cruel Southern Sheriff-police" stereotype endures.
