David Spates gives his take on this incident. He believes, as I do, that it is animal cruelty and, if they can find the people who did it, they should be punished. And enough so that they would never even consider doing something like that again.

Yes, I agree it was cruel. Might have been better if they had blindfolded it, (maybe they did) but not much.

I read elsewhere this happened in Germany which is more relaxed about animal cruelty stuff, and that the donkey also half drowned on touchdown.
