Matt Simmons passed away today from a heart attack. Matt was the founder of Simmons and Company - on of the leading energy investment banks in the world. Based in Houston, he was a well-respected member of the oil and gas community having brokered hundred of key transactions in the sector.

His book "Twilight in the Desert" detailed his research into the planet's actual remaining oil reserves concluding that we are soon to reach the peak of oil production. He encouraged policy makers to move away from oil dependence.

Last month he officially launched the Ocean Energy Institute http://www.oceanenergy.org/ which will focus on maximizing energy from the ocean including offshore wind and wave energy.

Matt was a man not afraid to speak his mind, even when it did not gel with the view of many of his traditional clients. He was the first to point to the lack of transparency of Saudi and othe oil reserves in the hands of national oil companies.

My parents had a friend, back in the 1970's, that died of a heart attack at age 34. I have male family members, now deceased, who died of heart attack in their late 40's early 50's. Genetic predisposition or bad health choices, or both, in every case.

It happens. Not everything is a conspiracy.

of course, however....

A note from Benjamin Fulton:

Another Alternative Energy Inventor Killed?

By Benjamin Fulford
9-3-08

A man by the name of Stefan Nystrom invented a way to generate energy from ocean waves that he claims would cost 5% of what coal energy does.

[Last month he (MAT SIMMONS) officially launched the Ocean Energy Institute www.oceanenergy.org/ which will focus on maximizing energy from the ocean including offshore wind and wave energy.]

He set up a proto-type in Ghana and, initially, claims to have found many potential investors. However, suddenly problems started to pop up. The investors, originally extremely enthusiastic, started to back off. He was offered bribes in order to quit. Finally, he began to be harassed by Ghanaian police and mercenaries.

He contacted me in hopes of getting protection. I told him to come to Japan. He told me he was not allowed to leave the country. He said they had taken parts from his prototype. I said I would see what I could do. Before I could do anything, yesterday I received a disturbing set of phone calls from a very scared sounding Mr. Nystrom. "They tried to kill me three times today," he screamed into the phone. Then I lost contact with him, and his phone has been switched off.

In his last call, he asked me to make his technology public. So, here below is a description of his technology. Would people please pass it on and would as many people, in a tribute to a man who has probably been killed by mercenaries hired by the oil industry, and make sure that prototypes are developed.

It looks like the videos about the Water Car Inventor being killed have been removed...one said this:

"This video contains content from Canadian Broadcasting Corp., who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds." Likely story.

=======

Inventor of Water powered car is apparently murdered

"This man Stan Meyer's built a car than runs entirely on water. The car gets 100 miles to the gallon, which is just astonishing. Well, what do you think happened to this earth changing inventor.... hmm the man was allegedly poisoned, and died in 1998. Later that week all of his equipment and the car that he created has stolen and never recovered. Stan Meyer's had spoken repeatedly about how he was being threatened by oil companies, but refused to bow to their wishes of abandoning the project."

Sure, Simmons COULD have died a natural death, but other young inventors of "dangerous" technology have died of "heart attacks" [ www.rense.com/general79/murder.htm ], so that was my first [and last] thought.

Sorry, but that would make absolutely no sense.

If they wanted the project gone, they'd buy him out. If he wasn't selling, they'd take a look at the market and notice that lots of companies are looking into this exact same technology right now and say "huh, guess we need to get on the ball".

Sometimes, and I know this is hard to believe, people who make money in the private sector aren't ravenous murderers who send out hit men against competitors. Strange but true.

Rense, btw, is the last place I'd look for any kind of reliable facts. Lots of "young inventors" out looking to invent new technologies, do, and then bring them to market. It doesn't pass the smell test.
