I thought this vid was going to be a bust but it is quite interesting. I always like inventors with new approaches.
The "experts" said it amounted to nothing. Yeah, people are always skeptical of anything new. Rightly so in many cases but this seems legitimate. I am wondering how long it will be before some of the oil companies or car companies make him an "offer he can't refuse."

We just had Hot August Nights here and I'm feeling the urge to take on another project to cruise around in. Well, if you get it fixed up to run on water let me know how it goes. I would love to have one of these rigged up to run on water.

Mine looks like a regular 73 Thing, but a little beefier. It's cream colored with a built in roll bar, bug bumpers and even an on board generator. I think I want to paint it HOT pink. : ) Of course, after sitting in the garage for four years, it may not even start. : (

I think it is a nice looking little pickup. It looks a bit like one we used to have, a little Chevrolet S-10 we called Li'l Red. Your Thing will probably crank but it might take a bit of work. And don't trust the tires if it has been sitting in the same spot for four years. They have probably dry rotted.

I'm looking at a 1776 CC engine, but I don't know if I want to put another gas engine in it. It would be nice to find an electric forklift or golf cart engine for it. It would be nice to find an electric forklift or golf cart engine for it. It's light and has plenty of room under the hood for batteries. This little conundrum has kept me from doing anything on it for years. I need to make a decision and move on it or it will never get done. : ) Put a water engine in it. Seriously, if you could get access to whatever system that guy is running, and they surely need some independent testers, that would be a good thing.

This is pretty awesome. I wonder if this will ever see the light of day in terms of MSM coverage, and associated transition from gas/diesel to water.

There is nothing fraudulent about "burning" hydrogen, which is actually oxidizing it since hydrogen as an element is obviously not destroyed. Combining hydrogen with oxygen will give off heat energy. And there's nothing new about electricity breaking the H2O into H and O2. The only issue is the amount of energy required to do it. The hydrogen welders are real enough. There's no challenge to existing science with them. Obviously the issues of the law of conservation of energy need to be satisfied when it comes to the use of water as a fuel instead of an energy storage medium (by breaking it into H and O2). I would love to see an alleged "over unity" motor in person. There are many who claim to have made this work, and there is some room for this to work without violating any standing laws of physics, in the same way that heavier than air objects can fly without violating the law of gravity.

I suspect that as long as the oil companies have trillions of barrels of crude oil they need to refine and sell no one will do much with this. Maybe a few inventors will make one for personal use and maybe make one for a friend. It would be hard to imagine the oil companies allowing something like this--plentiful, dirt cheap fuel when theirs is expensive and profitable.

At least one other alleged water power car inventor claimed TPB's not wanting such tech around. And he died under somewhat questionable circumstances some time ago. Around 2000, I think. That doesn't prove the tech works, though. One thing about the laws of physics is that natural life tends to take advantage of them to do odd things. Birds flying for example. If this tech does work, I would expect it to be found in nature in one form or another. Electric eels do naturally produce electrical voltage so if there's some energy that could be made from mixing it with water, I'd expect eels or some similar creature to be able to exploit that possibility somehow. If it doesn't appear in nature, it's a bit of evidence against the supposed tech being possible.
That's not the story here, it's whether this man's car runs on water or not. To be more precise a car that breaks down water into hydrogen and oxygen and then burns that. It would be great if what he says is true but I'll go with the odds. Since the 60's I've heard of all kinds of miraculous inventions for cars; carburetors that would give 100 to 500 miles per gallon, or addons to engines that would double/triple the mileage, cars that run on water, to a car that supposedly ran on some outdated physics theory, etc. All of them were scams. All losers and no winners? I'll take the odds.
What about the welder that won't burn you but turn iron balls red hot? Would you have believed that possible a few years ago? I don't know first hand if his car will run on water or not because I was not around when they filmed this video. So I am not saying it is true but I can't say it is not true either because I don't know either way.

All I know is this guy's company has been sold and he's now listed as "Chairman Emeritus". They're marketing their product, "Aquygen", as a fuel additive, not a standalone fuel. The website is here.

You're correct. I should have said this guys car that water is its fuel is a fraud. It's not full blown cynicism that I deny that it does but experience loosely outlined in my post to James #24. The question is now moot with JRiggs post 26. I am going to check out the "over unity" motor as I have never heard of it.
"Over-unity" is a term that describes a motor that puts out more energy than it consumes or, perhaps, only appears to consume. Searching on that term will give you some interesting results. On youtube too. Some of these type devices are allegedly rooted in quantum mechanics. Do a net search on John Hutchison. He is kinda a mad scientist with a hobby expanding on Tesla's experiments. There's some controversy around him but some of his stuff seems quite authentic. There's photos of metals which appear to have melted at room temperature. He claims to have made a battery that never runs out of power, though not with the energy capacity of that portrayed in the latest Tom Cruise/Camaroon Diaz movie (Perhaps Hutchison's claim was the movie inspiration). A number of people claim to have developed water engines and searches will turn up a number of videos from various sources.
