In the latest dispatch from "The Dept. Of You gotta be shitting me..."
Today no less than a dozen vehicles pulled up in front of my house, and across the street. They were all white people, helping what looked to be a middle eastern family move in next door.
Here's the kicker. 4 out of the bunch were lesbians, and this was a Christian Outreach program, who helped a Muslim Iraqi family move to America. They've been in the states 5 whole days. They have no car, they have no prospects, just an apartment next door.
I met the father, he looks to be in his late 50's, speaks little to no English, but friendly. The oldest son is in his 20's, looks uncomfortable to be here. The mother was fasting for Ramadan as was the daughter. They have two younger children, one of which has down's syndrome. They are very devout Muslim as I found out, and oddly enough, I own a dog. The child with Down's Syndrome loves dogs.
I am looking forward to seeing how my neighbors adjust. These benevolent Christians didn't bother to let them know that no more than 300 feet from their house, a level 3 sex offender was just dumped off by the benevolent State I live in.
Liberal Christians and their notions of helping others. The funny thing? They told me not to tell the Iraqi neighbors about the sex offender living around the corner. Fricking hilarious.
What bothers me about this situation the most is that these Christians didn't bother to think about where they were depositing these folks who already have issues with trust, into a neighborhood that's full of all kinds of freaks and weirdos. Way to go Christian Outreach and your idiocy.
I'll be praying for these folks to become stable, and mobile.

That's just plain stupid. They might as well drop me off in the middle of a jungle! It's the same thing as what they are doing to these people.
Here's the thing: would a true Christian do this to anyone? AND, as a cherry to top it off, not tell them about a very dangerous man in their midst especially when they have a very vulnerable child?
Are there others like them that can give them some real help? I'm sure you can do something but the language and cultural barrier might hinder things.

I am buying an Arabic language book and CD today. It's a start. I'll be able to learn Arabic before they are cogent in English. I already speak 3 other languages, what's another?
The funniest part about this Christian stuff, was that the 4 Lesbians that helped out. I truly cannot abide by that nonsense, and I would wager that if they'd known they'd been delivered into the Devil's Playground by the unclean, they'd probably think they'd committed a mortal sin.

Yeah, you might want to keep that to yourself... They have enough on their plate as it is. I cant figure out why they didn't want you to tell them about the predator in the area. That was a vile thing to do to them.

I saw a story on Fox yesterday about this. they had a White House spokesperson on the show and he said that the US still had troops in Iraq that were involved in combat. They're just not called 'combat' troops. this is the 2'nd withdrawal from Iraq under Obama. we're now ratcheting our troop strength down to 50,000. When we withdrew the first time we cut it down to 120,000 troops. we said we were not involved in combat or patrols after the first withdrawal. and we changed the boundaries of baghdad so that our troops could patrol it and say that they were not.
the government of Iraq is a puppet of the washington regime, and we have the muscle in Iraq to enforce that standard. All talk contrary is foolish.
I emphasize, this is the 2'nd time that President Obama's administration has announced a withdrawal from Iraq. and both times it is not true. I saw & heard a white house spokesperson say live on tv yesterday that they are still leaving behind troops who will be involved in combat. But if you classify these troops as being 'non-combat', then you can say you are withdrawing all combat troops. and this will boost your image among the voters.
Revelation 6:6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and [see] thou hurt not the oil and the wine.
The spin I heard was that they were only there to train the locals and it would be up to those locals on whether or not US troops would be in combat.
None of it matters. A rule in guerrilla warfare is to hit them when they're weak and retreat when they're stronger than you are. Right now they are weak. I bet things blow up over there soon and those left will either get kicked out of Iraq or die. The resistance isn't going anywhere. They still have the same goal, to kick the US out.
And with the trial balloon regarding Iran and the power plant at Bushehr, makes me wonder about the timing of all of this. Kuwait City is right across the Persian Gulf from Bushehr.
