Red Jones mentioned this guy in another thread; Ben Quayle. he spouts support for a 'secure border', said Obama was the 'worst president ever', & decries high taxation. Quayle, a 33 yr old lawyer, campaigns on 'family values'. He was embarrassed when a friend revealed Quayle used to write under a porn character's name on a nasty blog site. is there no end to these generational blueblood scum? look for quayle to run in 2016 with Prescott Bush jr.

generational blueblood scum

that is exactly how to describe him.

I did not see him speak in favor of penalizing employers for hiring illegals. I did not see him say that there should be 'employer audits' to check who they have on the payroll to get rid of illegals. But you can bet he wants guest workers.

When he speaks about his concern over high taxes, you can bet he's not talking about the payroll taxes. For every paycheck up to about $100,000/year there are several taxes that apply on a percentage basis to every dollar earned. and the employers match that tax as well. The total payroll tax is 15-16%, and I heard one person on the radio assert that it was 18%. I don't know. but for people who have 'investment income', their income tax on that type of income was lowered to 15% back in 2004/2005. I think maybe they've raised it slightly since then. POint is, the very poorest people in America when they get a job at a temp labor outfit and work just 2 days a week must pay that payroll tax which is over 15% on every dollar. and the richest who earn 'investment' income pay a similar rate. We have no shortage of money in our country. There are lots of rich people with huge portfolios. those rich people do not make investments that create jobs. Taxing them lighter does not encourage them to create jobs in this environment. They invest massively in things that are expected to run up in value, but also don't create jobs. Point is, we don't have a shortage of money. but we have a shortage of jobs. and so we decide to tax jobs heavily in America. and is Dan Quayle going to change this? No, he is concerned about the taxes on the rich people.

After WW2 the top tax rate on the richest people was 94%. and our economy did not implode. and the debt from WW2 was paid down. Today the government's debts are worse and we have very low taxes on rich people. Since ww2 we've greatly reduced the taxes on rich people, and we've spiraled upwards the taxes on poor people. Now we have lots of poor people. Yet we insist on taxing their jobs heavily. Compared to other nations our payroll tax is very high compared to what they levy on their workers' paychecks.

here's that commercial I said I don't like. When he says 'I was raised RIGHT!' I can't help thinking of the verse from Proverbs that says 'Pride goeth before the fall, and a haughty spirit before destruction'. But Ben Quayle was 'raised right'. By who? His father was Dan Quayle. Rich establishment politician. Raised right and in his late 20's when he had a professional job and a wife he was hanging out on 'dirty.com' spewing ugly gossip at strangers over their sex lives, and doing this for fun. spoiled rich kid. completely out of touch.

so Ben Quayle did win the republican primary. His district was held for many years by Republican John Shadegg who has retired. It is traditionally a very republican district. our state is becoming democrat because of the mexican influence. Republicans as you know have told all the mexicans to vote democrat. and republicans did this at a time when the mexicans were becoming the majority in this state. but I think this particular district will still remain republican.

I would hope Arizona is a equal opportunity hater, but that appears not to be true.

John McKooK has won the race once again to represent the State in Washington.

There must be something in the AZ drinking water for any person/party to offer that person as a candidate for office.

I watched a debate between McCain, Hayworth and the other Republican challenger for this senate seat. 3 republicans. not one of them could speak in favor of auditing employers to see who they have that are illegal immigrants and then deport the illegals and fine the employer. not one of them could speak for that. All 3 of them said the solution was to put an army on the border, and build a wall, etc. That is a 2,000 mile border. You can't easily guard it. it is very expensive and ineffective. we already know that they build tunnels. there's a lot of money involved in getting across the border. The illegal immigrants themselves pay thousands of dollars for safe passage. That is what the tunnels, and we already know they build tunnels.

not one single republican in the race wants to stop illegals from working in the economy. all of them were for guest workers coming in also to take American jobs.

and all 3 of them spoke against illegal immigration in a flagrant manner so as to cause ethnic mexicans among us (legal and illegal) that they were racists. you wonder why arizona is becoming a democrat state. because the republicans speak that way. and at the same time the republicans insist on being ineffective. they could be effective without being flagrant with their words. they choose not to be.

good people voted for McCain. they were deceived. there were no real choices. Democracy is a complete fraud.

some people say we just need armed guards every 100 yards and to shoot them as they cross, close in on them with a military group and stop them by violence if necessary. In July alone in one county in arizona they found 59 dead bodies of people crossing illegally. They're willing to face the possibility of death to cross. the only way we can stop them is to stop the emloyers from hiring them.

I know with 100% certainty that the employers do not fear the legal sanctions against them for hiring illegals and are still hiring illegals to this day.

in our news media we're given deceptions on this issue. and from our leaders we're given treason by our leaders. this is across the board.

I've even heard democrats in arizona mimic the republican line on illegal immigrants - "we need to guard the border and have guest workers".

I read yesterday that Barack Obama has greatly increased enforcement against employers who hire illegals. He now fines them a total of $3 million a year. That is a small drop in the bucket compared to the savings employers make in hiring illegals.

This country has endured for over two hundred years, and the end is in sight.

Way back in the 1980's an old-school newspaper ombudsman (had been in the business since 1944) told me one of the well-kept secrets of the political- class: the Quayle children were filthy animals in dress and manner. This was coming from a staunch Catholic-conservative man (NOT a modern Catholic) who was the only decent man in the newspaper business I've ever talked to.
