Apparently they're using a substance called spermine which is a synthetic version of a substance found in fish sperm compounded into a cosmetic by a Norwegian company called Bioforskning.

It's a tribute to the end of our civilization that this sort of vanity - at two hundred bucks a pop per treatment - gets the traction that is does. Folks, women mostly, are so desperate to keep their youthful looks that they're paying big coin to have extracts from snails, foreskins and bird poop rubbed into their wrinkles.

Women in ancient Rome/Greece/Egypt were just as vain way back in their day, this stuff would have been a huge hit then.

Politically, I do view the USA as being equivalent to Rome at the end of it's stage as a Republic, what with the moral and political decay being so blatantly obvious.
