It took about 3 hrs to record six vocal tracks, two guitar, one bass and two hand clapping, with one track of electronic percussion for a total of 11 tracks.
As I mentioned before I've been recording blues for months and I took a break on a whim yesterday and recorded a song that asserts that moonshine is morally superior to "marihuana".
I doubt that the federal "revenoors" would agree with Merle on that.
I's with my buddies who were playing country downtown in Detroit at a big blues bar near Wayne State about 15 years ago. My good friend who was playing lead had started up the opening licks to Okie from Muskogee, when the singer just about went paralyzed. He started desperately waving the lead guitar and the drummer and the bass player off.
Bet you could get away with playing it today, even up that a way.

I suspect that most of them (the "revenoors") are only interested in rousting someone and charging them with some kind of crime so they can bring in "mo' money" for de gubmint and put someone in prison and ruin their lives over nothing. And I doubt they care much either way if they're busting people for untaxed liquor--which is really what the beef is about--or untaxed marijuana.
