The Battleship Missouris return from drydocking earlier this year comes just in time to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the end of World War II this summer. Special commemorative activities, items, and travel options are provided for participants below! Join us in a week of events that are planned to commemorate the end of WWII. The Mighty Mo was part of this significant period as imperial Japans surrender to Allied Powers took place on Sept. 2, 1945, was aboard the USS Missouri (BB-63) in Tokyo Bay. We honor this history by aiming to achieve our nonprofit 501(c)3 mission: to create and maintain a fitting memorial to the people and historic events that reflects our nation's legacy of duty, honor, strength, sacrafice, and resolve.
