yes, i watched the entire thing and it is worth the time. Sara Weaver is a very articulate and strong young woman as is Rachel. as you may know, i am personal friends with Randy. while his daughters have forgiven, he has not and will not. they are a very close family. Sara has a son, Sam, and Rachel has a son and an infant daughter. Randy lives with his youngest, Elisheba, in a house she recently purchased. they're all in Montana now. at the time of this interview, Randy was living in a cabin in Arkansas.

p.s. watching it broke my heart for them again. Randy is a lot of fun, has a great sense of humor, and loves to laugh. i've often expressed to him my admiration for that.

What qualified your mom to teach you? LOL Amazing how "sheepified" Americans have become.

They would be even more shocked to find out that the "Normal School"* teachers I had in "Hicksville" Montana were every bit the equal, if not better, that the "Degreed" teachers I had in Seattle Public Skools. I was fully a year ahead in most subjects when we moved from Montana to Seattle, and my reading level was, in 4th Grade, on par with what the Seattle Public Skools considered to be 9th Grade.

*For those not familiar with the term "Normal School" - this was the practice of taking bright High School Graduates, putting them through a Summer training program on how to teach, the curriculum for the grades they were to teach, and then turning them loose in the Classroom. Generations of rural America were taught by the old "School Marm" who simply had a love for learning and the wit to impart it to others. It does not require a 4 year College Degree to teach Grade School. It requires someone who is literate and interested in lighting up young minds and nothing more. It is also worth noting that, based on a study done a few years back, that a 1947 High School Graduate had the same general education level of a 4 year College Graduate today.

While he has much to be aggrieved for, letting go of it would, while balancing it with an awareness the evil is still there, would be healthier for him. Nevertheless, what he has gone through should not have to be born by ANY American.

I watched the congressional hearings when they happened on S-SPAN. They had a man testify whose face and voice were masked and he described the numerous attempts to entrap Weaver, and a meeting where all present were undercover agents of a different agency. FBI,ATF,US Marshall, etc. They were there to catch "bad guys" and nobody knew everyone else was also an undercover agent. A real farce.

I still think sometimes about what happened at Ruby Ridge in August of 1992.

the government sent 80 men armed heavily with automatic rifles and body armor onto a private residence and just started killing people with no warning or reason. That is what happened. and the government itself has produced a document demonstrating this is exactly what happened.

I remember also my fellow Americans who learned through our mass media to feel that these killings were somehow justified. How easily our nation was broken by putting evil leadership in charge of us!

I read about Randy Weaver's entrapment. The undercover agent over a period of weeks repeatedly tried to get Randy to saw off a shotgun before selling it. Finally Weaver cut the shotgun and sold it, thus breaking the law. He was found 'not guilty' in a court of law for that. But this was the governent's excuse for killing 2 people and badly wounding a 3'rd - all 3 who were not Randy Weaver.

They gave him a trial date for selling the modified shotgun. He hired an attorney to represent him. They moved the trial date up and neglected to tell Randy Weaver that they'd done this. Weaver missed his trial date. The government sent an army of 80 men to his land. These men all had body armor and automatic weapons. They were instructed to shoot and kill any adult male on his land that carried a gun. The government knew it was normal practice for many people who lived in that area to carry guns as it was an isolated spot with grizzly bears. The government's soldiers shot and killed Weaver's 14-year old son on sight simply because he carried a gun. They did not even identify themselves before shooting. Then they shot and killed Weaver's wife.

all of this info was contained in the government's own investigation of the event.

and if you even say the things we've said on this thread in public in our country, there will be many who will feel strongly that you must be persecuted against. In reality an awful lot of our people are just like NAZIs. as long as evil carries the label 'US government' they love evil.

Sara did a wonderful job at recreating the horror she survived. Shatner, of all the interviewers I've seen on this topic, was the best. Well done, Captain Kirk.

I only got through the first minute or so and had to ditch it. Maybe when my stomach is stronger I can watch more. I would have punched Cap'n Kirk in the face after the teacher qualification question.
