i have heard of people posting images that when clicked on track IP addresses and, of course, i know many websites use this so they know who visits their sites. it's not necessarily ominous. the fact of the matter is, the internet is not private and anyone who thinks it is, is deluded. for that matter, neither is the real world unless you are able to disconnect from the system entirely. oh wait, didn't the Weavers try that?
