She says she's scared. She shouldn't be. But I bet the principal was cringing as she gave this speech, as he(?) should have been.
It's rare to see this kind of wisdom in the youth. She'll do fine. SHe should be valedictorian not because of her grades, but because she already sees thru the BS. She'll go far. But it won't be easy. I bet she can handle it though.

I once expressed an opinion on an article by Bertrand Russel that we were required to read for class. The teacher said that it was the exact opposite of what he was saying. No discussion, no debate! I was stunned because I believed my view was valid, but I had to accept her authority. I tuned out for the rest of the class.
