Now that the American mission in Iraq is officially over, some videos showing U.S. soldiers pranking Iraqis - and vice versa - for fun have come to light.
The below video was uploaded on to YouTube by a U.S. soldier and shows troops hiding a live grenade in an Iraqi's car before 'finding' it and - after the popular MTV show Punk'd - pranking him.
The Iraqis have a similar reality show, 'Put Him in Camp Bucca', where fake bombs are planted in celebrities' cars - only for them to be found and the stars tricked in to thinking they will be jailed for terrorism.
'Having fun': U.S. soldiers plant a live grenade in an Iraqi man's car as a joke
Sergeant Leo Dunson, who uploaded the video on YouTube, said: 'This was all in fun and never in any intent to harm anyone.'
The man who uploaded this video, where a live grenade was used, was Sergeant Leo Dunson.
The description that runs next to the video reads: 'This is my partner and I working at a Traffic control point in Iraq.
'We decided to scare one of the locals a bit by placing a grenade in his trunk while he wasn't looking.
'This was all in fun and never in any intent to harm anyone.'
Punk'd: The U.S. soldier reveals the joke to the Iraqi, who is relieved and laughs nervously
In an interview with War News Radio, Dunson explained why he posted the video. He said: 'I got the one video of us playing MTV Punk'd.
'When we were over there we were playing all sorts of jokes, here and there, having fun.
'I didn't want people to think that we were just over there and that we hated all of them.'

Prank: The unknowing victims are made to sweat following the discovery of bombs at checkpoints
Only last week did President Barack Obama end the U.S. combat mission in Iraq, declaring no victory after seven years of bloodshed, and telling Americans and the world: 'It is time to turn the page.'
He said the United States 'has paid a huge price' to give Iraqis the chance to shape their future.
The toll includes more than 4,400 U.S. troops dead and many more Iraqis, tens of thousands more Americans wounded, and hundreds of billions of dollars spent.
Obama is keeping up to 50,000 troops in Iraq for support and counterterrorism training, and the last forces are not due to leave until the end of 2011 at the latest.
Those wacky troops! Making people think that they are going to be summarily executed by the side of the road for having a bomb in their car in what is still a war zone! Comedy Gold!
Say what you will about our Heroes In Uniform, but you can't tell me that they don't have one great sense of humor!
I have an idea for another episode. Raid a home at midnight and hold the kids in the home hostage and bark at the parents like you're going to shoot their kids! LOL! ROTFLMAO! Wouldn't that be great! It's like Candid Camera, except Alan Funt gets to make people fear for their very lives!
Please, please tell me this isn't real and isn't really going on. :(

No, can't watch it right now, that's why I was asking, hoping it's an Onion type thing.

A-rabs. Drone their wedding receptions and their fine. Embargo their nation for 5 years before invading it, killing god knows how many, and they accept candy from GIs on tanks. Have a Florida preacher warm his hands with a pile of Korans, and the goat humpers dump in their robes. Tell me again why we're there?

I understand these people having lived among them. They have a greater reverence for their book than flag wavers here have for the Constitution. A good number of them will lay down their lives for it. You need to understand this.
Personally, I think it is a flawed and man-made work. However, for Americans to burn it in public is probably one the most stupid pranks that I could conceive of at this particular point in time.
Tell me again why we're there?
To have a little war or two or three in which the fortunate among us can make a fast buck.
Questions??
I would like to direct this to the distinguished members of the panel: You lousy cork-soakers. You have violated my farging rights. I support it for many reasons, but the most important reason is one I can't prove or adequately define at this time.
It seems to me, for reasons unknown, Muslims in America are fast becoming a protected minority. I sense it in the way the media treats them, and now the way the federal government is aggressively protecting their precious book. I wouldn't put it past our government to charge this preacher with some sort of crime should he follows through with the burning. Now, if these were bibles, they'd be no problem and our government would be insensitive the the feelings and beliefs of the Christian soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. The ACLU would also stand guard to protect his 1st amendment rights. They're conspicuous by their absence.
Again, I'm not sure I can express more than what I feel is happening, but my track record on these things is rather good.

I don't sense that at all. It's the media that constantly links Muslims to terrorists. And we all know who owns the media here, and it isn't muslims.
. Edit to add:
Do you really think the kikes would give a damn if they burned Bibles? The Bible and Koran are fair game to the kikes, but burn a talmud and see their reaction...

Absolutely true, but I sense mixed messages at the same time. This goes way beyond PC and something I'm not fully understanding right now. This preacher has every right to burn any book he wants and for anyone not to support that basic principle, is to begin to travel down a very slippery slope. That is the pressure the US government is currently applying on him. I pray to god he burns a few thousand on Saturday. it's his right.
Please, please tell me this isn't real and isn't really going on. :(
I don't see any clear American insignia on those uniforms. This might not even have been made in Iraq for all we know. That's the best I can do right now to jump on this story in the hopes that it can be defused as a dud. :(

Anyone has a right to burn any book they want, and it isn't the governments business.
It's hard to tell from the pics (I can't watch the video right now), but it appears that some of them have 101st Airborne patches on and I think I can make out an American Flag on some shoulders. The problem with modern military insignia on American uniforms is that the positioning and color has changed radically from what it has traditionally been. The purpose being, I assume, to make identification of key people harder on the enemy. Rank insignia, for example, seems to be removed from the lapels and made into a small cloth patch that is the same color as the uniform and sewn on the chest.
I'll really need to watch the video to make a determination though. It would be a godsend if this were a prank (on us).

That would be too kind. It would be so entertaining to see how they scurried about like the rats they are and begged to be F*cked hard up the ass like they like it instead of being slowly disemboweled/dimembered like they would be.

Yep.
I heard on the radio that his congregation has only 50 people. But the publicity he's getting is priceless. If he wanted to burn books he could have just done it without all the publicity. But if getting publicity was his only goal, then he achieved it. Maybe he wants to add on a daycare center to his church or something that will build up his little empire, I don't know, but I do know how they think and work. They're so twisted that you can't take anything they say or do at face value.
He's one of those that think people are going to "hell" to be tortured "forever" if people don't believe as he does. If he really believed that, and cared about muslims, he wouldn't first spit in their faces by pulling a publicity stunt like this.
I don't think we're getting the whole picture here.

Probably not, but having heard him interviewed on teebee, he truly hates Muslims and their absurd mockery, the Koran. Since I'm also a man of strong feelings, we're kindred spirits in that regard. He also apparently hates government, since government has has brought an inordinate amount of pressure directly to his pulpit. I can't think of another book that would cause this type of reaction. That the pastor hasn't budged is also a big plus in my book, since a preemptive WACO-like attack is a distinct possibility, IMO. So, personal religious values aside, I fully support the Koran burning, and urge others to follow with the book of their choice.

They aren't white.

Except as a former paratrooper I'm here to tell you that no Jumpmaster would pass a safety check of anyone not in proper uniform. They wouldn't do anything inviting a court martial just to play a joke. ;-D

Yes, yes, yes. All of this is true.
To put it simply, Muslims were brought here, just as they were imported into Europe, precisely to provoke the kinds of reactions that they are now receiving.
Our elites want the folks pissed off, and that is just what they're getting.

Yes, yes, yes! The psychotic continued forced integration of cultural mismatches into America is an elitist's wet dream. If I hear the term "Muslim Outreach" one more time, I'll buy my own Koran and burn it.
