(s)Elections See other (s)Elections Articles Title: Sarah Palin’s top advisor outed as PNAC (“New Pearl Harbor”) director Vanity Fair recently ran a story titled Sarah Palin: The Sound and the Fury, in which they noted "The small inner circle that shapes Palin’s voice day to day includes lobbyist Randy Scheunemann, a director of the neoconservative think tank Project for the New American Century, who advises Palin on foreign affairs,..." The official PNAC website features a bio of Scheunemann, stating "Randy Scheunemann is a foreign policy and national security analyst based in Washington D.C. In 2002, he founded the Committee for the Liberation of Iraq (CLI) to promote freedom for the Iraqi people. He served as pro bono President and Executive Director of CLI until its mission was completed in 2003. In 2001, Scheunemann served as a consultant to the Office of the Secretary of Defense. From 1999-2000, Scheunemann served as Defense and Foreign Policy Coordinator for the "McCain 2000" presidential campaign. During 1996, Mr. Scheunemann was a senior adviser to Republican Presidential Candidate Bob Dole and served on the 1996 Republican Platform Committee. Previously, Mr. Scheunemann served as National Security Adviser to Senate Republican and Majority Leaders Bob Dole and Trent Lott from 1993-99." Scheunemann is also identified as one of four Board of Directors on the PNAC site. Information Clearinghouse offers a summary of the infamous PNAC document 'Rebuilding America's Defenses', which focused on 'preserving American preeminence', 'Securing Global Hegemony', and launching numerous wars in the middle east against the so-called 'Axis of Evil', while setting up a 'homeland defense' at home. The original document 'Rebuilding America's Defenses' can be found in its' entirety here. On page 63/90, PNAC wrote "Further, the process of transformation,even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event – like a new Pearl Harbor." Signatories included Paul Wolfowitz, William Kristol, and Dov Zakheim. The document points out "The above list of individuals participated in at least one project meeting or contributed a paper for discussion. The report is a product solely of the Project for the New American Century and does not necessarily represent the views of the project participants or their affiliated institutions." WhatReallyHappened.com has a page on 'The 9/11 Reichstag Fire', which chronicles all the specifics of PNAC and their false flag event, such as when Bush referred to the 9/11 terrorist attacks in his diary the day they happened as "The Pearl Harbor of the 21st century took place today". Among the documents listed on the PNAC website which Palin advisor Randy Scheunemann signed is a letter to "Dear Mr. President" Bush on September 20, 2001 in which, a mere nine days after the attack, they sought to link Iraq to the attacks and called for a large increase in defense spending: "We write to endorse your admirable commitment to “lead the world to victory” in the war against terrorism. We fully support your call for “a broad and sustained campaign” against the “terrorist organizations and those who harbor and support them.” We agree with Secretary of State Powell that the United States must find and punish the perpetrators of the horrific attack of September 11, and we must, as he said, “go after terrorism wherever we find it in the world” and “get it by its branch and root.” ....It may be that the Iraqi government provided assistance in some form to the recent attack on the United States...Israel has been and remains America’s staunchest ally against international terrorism, especially in the Middle East. The United States should fully support our fellow democracy in its fight against terrorism. We should insist that the Palestinian Authority put a stop to terrorism.." "...A serious and victorious war on terrorism will require a large increase in defense spending. Fighting this war may well require the United States to engage a well-armed foe, and will also require that we remain capable of defending our interests elsewhere in the world. We urge that there be no hesitation in requesting whatever funds for defense are needed to allow us to win this war..." Among the signers, in addition to Scheunemann, are the recognizable and notorious neocons William Kristol, Gary Bauer, William J. Bennett, Frank Gaffney and Richard Perle. In 2003, Scheunemann signed a letter to President Bush on the defense budget, which stated "We write to endorse the bold new course you have charted for American national security strategy. Your administration has shown impressive leadership in recognizing new threats and seizing new opportunities to create an enduring "balance of power that favors freedom." Yet a great risk remains: a continuing lack of military means. For the fact is this: Our current level of defense spending is inadequate to meet the demands of the Bush Doctrine"... In reality, Bush offered no leadership at all other than to the criminal cabal that has hijacked the American government. On March 13, 2002, Bush said "I don't know where Bin Laden is. I truly am not that concerned about him". This is documented on youtube and in the White House's own archives. In July 2008, John McCain was asked about his ties to PNAC and 'why he has been reluctant to support calls for a new investigation of 9/11'. In November 2008, ThinkProgress.org reported PNAC's ties to McCain and Palin, and noted "it will be interesting to see what role the revived PNAC plays in continuing political adventures of Governor Sarah Palin". Geoffrey Dunn, in his excellent September 10th Huffington Post article Palin Advisor Is a Former BP Lobbyist & Foreign Agent, pointed out "FEC records indicate that Palin's political action committee, SarahPAC, is paying Scheunemann's Virginia-based Orion Strategies $10,000 per month and has expended $90,000 to date for his services". Congressman Ron Paul's Campaign for Liberty posted a blog entry on September 2 titled Ron Paul’s Shocking Message To The Tea Party: You’re being taken for a ride, (originally at digitalmeetingcenter) which quoted Paul in the New York Times as saying "As many frustrated Americans who have joined the Tea Party realize, we cannot stand against big government at home while supporting it abroad. We cannot talk about fiscal responsibility while spending trillions on occupying and bullying the rest of the world. We cannot talk about the budget deficit and spiraling domestic spending without looking at the costs of maintaining an American empire of more than 700 military bases in more than 120 foreign countries..."

Oh, nooooo...... It may not matter though. When Clinton first ran one gal I knew voted for him "because he ha(d) nice hair" she said. And with so many stoopids in the rut over Sarah's charms this won't keep them from moshing at the polls to be next in line to pull the lever and their puds for her. And, to guarantee a GOP landslide the DEMs will probably run Whoopi Goldberg....
