I make no secret that their are some country's goods which I simply will not buy if I can at all avoid - the main two are Israel and China and I would strongly encourage other people to do the same it is an ethical choice and you vote with your dollars.

However, if at all possible I try to buy U.S. made goods, and that is the reason for this post. I was checking out Devvy Kidd's website today and noticed the "Buy Made in the USA" button/link so I clicked on it. What I found is a long list of companies that either manufacture and sell direct to consumers or who are retailers that deal only in U.S. made goods. So, I thought that it would be a public service for other like minded people.

Thanks for the info.
I buy domestic when I can, and also like to buy local when I can.
All of my photography equipment is made in Japan, China, or Germany. I dont have much choice there, but I can buy it from my local independent camera shop and help support them.

You are most welcome.

Same here - all of my photo gear is Canon, Pentax, and Olympus (including a hard to find Canon 80-200 photojournalist's lens).

Ohh, the one they call the "Magic Drainpipe".
Good lens.

Thanks. Yes, it is a handy tool. It won't do for most wildlife photograpy where you really need 300 and up but for people shooting it is nice and will cover most situations from portrait to action.

Although the one I have been wanting to do is to go up into the Oneonta Gorge National Botanical Reserve and do some macro shooting of the mosses and lichens. It has over 300 different varieties, and is a very pretty place. Fishin' ain't too good though - just a bunch of little Cutthroat.
