I stumbled over these stately Stalinesque funeral hymns a few days back, at LRC I think.

Charming music, obviously had a very powerful effect on those who heard it.

I like the part where they're fighting to get close enough to kiss the TV. It's like Benny Hinn's little cult.

The griefstricken announcers, the crowds waving their clenched fists, beating on tables, wailing, bereft with grief.

You can hardly believe it isn't an awful joke of some kind. But it isn't. That's the horror of it.
