Another trick is to put down the utensils between bites and thoroughly chew your grub. Get those digestive enzymes working.

Also, don't have a beverage with your meal for the same reason.

A weight loss of a mere 1 and 2/3 pound a month is so trivial that it can hardly be touted as a weight loss secret. I think walking around the block once before each meal would probably lose more weight.

A lot of water with meals will actually defeat the mechanism of stomach stapling or a gastric belt by dissolving some of the food and letting it wash through the narrowed passages much quicker.
