I work with a bunch of female nurses. I have for years. I have found they have dirty minds and nasty mouths. Years ago I read in an article that if a woman put in a personal ad she was a nurse, she would get many responses. Then, of course, there are the porn films featuring “nurses.” I was mystified by this, because my experience with them put me off of them years ago.
The myth is about dirty-minded men, sexual harassers, etc. I’ve never seen it, except among blacks. But I see it among nurses.
And I have never seen anything among men close to nurses! Near the end of the shift they get together at the nurse’s station and gab. I sit in a chair in the hall and listen.
The stuff I hear is amazing. One woman was talking about a date she was on, and said he was good-looking and a great guy but had a “little weenie.” That would be the same as my saying in front of her about a date I had with a woman who was…”Huge! I couldn’t believe it! A cavern!”
Another was making a circle with one forefinger and thumb and running the other forefinger through it, saying “That’s what I was doing last night.” She was lying.
That one also asked me if I had a “lady in your life?” I told her yes, and “she tries to kill me once in a while.” She responded, “I’m not surprised.”
I heard another say all she had was “an apartment and a dog.” Then later on, this woman, who is unbelievably unpleasant and has a permanently bitter hostile look, was talking about “her man.” She has no man.
My experience has been nurses tell outrageous lies about their romance and sex lives. Yet, when they are involved with a man they collapse and become submissive. One whined about how she couldn’t believe she let me ex-husband push her around for 12 years.
On top of all that talk, all they can do is complain about men. I’ve never heard men say anything comparable to the things I’ve heard come out of their mouths. Never.
Most are not married or divorced. In fact, I can’t think of one who is married. The divorced ones are bitter and/or hostile. Complain, bitch, whine. You want some cheese with that whine?
Little weenies, all men are rotten, I’ll never get married because I’m so high-maintenance…these are the things I hear every evening.
I was so put off of nurses by their behavior I have never dated a nurse. I can’t imagine ever doing so. I don’t want them talking about the size of my weenie to each other.
Maybe nurses are lousy judges of men. I don’t know. I’ve never gotten past the unpleasantness to have a serious conservation with one. And the ones at work, I have only professional conversations with. Not one of them knows the slightest thing about my personal life, and never will. God know what they would do with it.
