I work with a bunch of female nurses. I have for years. I have found they have dirty minds and nasty mouths. Years ago I read in an article that if a woman put in a personal ad she was a nurse, she would get many responses. Then, of course, there are the porn films featuring “nurses.” I was mystified by this, because my experience with them put me off of them years ago. The myth is about dirty-minded men, sexual harassers, etc. I’ve never seen it, except among blacks. But I see it among nurses. And I have never seen anything among men close to nurses! Near the end of the shift they get together at the nurse’s station and gab. I sit in a chair in the hall and listen. The stuff I hear is amazing. One woman was talking about a date she was on, and said he was good-looking and a great guy but had a “little weenie.” That would be the same as my saying in front of her about a date I had with a woman who was…”Huge! I couldn’t believe it! A cavern!” Another was making a circle with one forefinger and thumb and running the other forefinger through it, saying “That’s what I was doing last night.” She was lying. That one also asked me if I had a “lady in your life?” I told her yes, and “she tries to kill me once in a while.” She responded, “I’m not surprised.” I heard another say all she had was “an apartment and a dog.” Then later on, this woman, who is unbelievably unpleasant and has a permanently bitter hostile look, was talking about “her man.” She has no man. My experience has been nurses tell outrageous lies about their romance and sex lives. Yet, when they are involved with a man they collapse and become submissive. One whined about how she couldn’t believe she let me ex-husband push her around for 12 years. On top of all that talk, all they can do is complain about men. I’ve never heard men say anything comparable to the things I’ve heard come out of their mouths. Never. Most are not married or divorced. In fact, I can’t think of one who is married. The divorced ones are bitter and/or hostile. Complain, bitch, whine. You want some cheese with that whine? Little weenies, all men are rotten, I’ll never get married because I’m so high-maintenance…these are the things I hear every evening. I was so put off of nurses by their behavior I have never dated a nurse. I can’t imagine ever doing so. I don’t want them talking about the size of my weenie to each other. Maybe nurses are lousy judges of men. I don’t know. I’ve never gotten past the unpleasantness to have a serious conservation with one. And the ones at work, I have only professional conversations with. Not one of them knows the slightest thing about my personal life, and never will. God know what they would do with it.

An upgrade to RN's would help.
A lot of nurses work like galley slaves and get little respect from either doctors or patients. But, for porn purposes, they are (1) dressed in white - like nuns or brides, (2) know their way around a man's body, (3) accustomed - presumably devoted - to gratifying the wishes of men who don't have to move a muscle, and (4) not skanky.
Some of these are RNs. I've read article by guys talking about military nurses. Apparently they're a horror. Non-military aren't so great either.

Hasn't been my experience. Most hide outside to smoke cigarettes. Nearly everyone I know who's been in a hospital has bad things to say abour nurses. I don't think I've ever met a really first-class one.

i have noticed that too. may have to do with a high stress job and the fact that a lot of em drink way too much and are prescription drug abusers. all nurses it seems have xanax scripts and a variety of narcotic pain meds for their 'fibro' or 'back problems' seriously.

I've dated a couple of nurses, most are batshit crazy. I did date a more mature nurse who was a farmgirl. Very nice person, just too many issues with money and family and her 22 year old son marrying his 40 year old english professor nazi feminist, with an angry lesbian sister, what a nightmare.
Exactly my experience. I think it's why most of them are divorced or never married.

This is how I see most nurses, only not as attractive.

What, you mean you've never gone "spellunking" before? All you need are a coupla 2x4s.
Ah, you've never had the benefit of recording them in the bathroom at a big kegger or frat party. As you know, they love to use the toilet in groups, even for a regular single-stool bathroom. So of course they're going to yak it up. We used this in college, trying to find out which chicks wanted to sleep with which guys. And just for fun. And we learned just what a little liquor did to these girls and what would come out of their mouths when they thought they were alone together. And I assume the bathroom brings certain topics to the fore, just as you see male bathrooms with a lot of sexual graffiti and with homos pulling lots of tricks. The recordings were far far more brutal than what you describe. It was a total eye-opener on the supposedly "gentle sex". It was one of the most genuinely educational college activities I ever had.

You're not possibly serious are you? Nurses (hell, most medical professionals) have horrible romantic lives. Look through any dating site, and 7 times out of 10 the women list their profession as "nursing/medical" and their status as "divorced". They are by nature OCP (obsessive compulsive personality, which is not the same thing as obsessive compulsive disorder). Once they focus on "work" they obsess about it, and relationships go right out the window. As I'm exposed daily to medical professionals, I can tell you that my experiences with nurses are exactly 100% opposite of yours regarding their supposed love lives. Some may talk a mean game, but ask their husbands when the last time they were laid and their husbands will normally respond with "what...with her? Seriously? Last year maybe?". Collapse and become submissive? Ha! How about "relationship established, now I'm off to work, see you later...um...sorry, what's your name again?" What you may be hearing is some kind of overcompensation. They know very little about what it takes to sustain a relationship, so they're trying to look like they're the queen bee of everything. One thing I do see as a pretty predictable trait however is that most are ardent booze hounds (albeit, with wine most of the time). The doctors, mostly male, are generally too taken with work and "status" to care about a relationship, neglect their wives and generally have affairs because they're possessed of an unwieldy God Complex. YMMV, some exceptions to every rule of course.

I am a female physician married to my first and only husband. Most of the nurses I know are married like me, and we all talk about our kids more than any other topic. I always like to brag about how good my husband treats me. Maybe Turtle works around less professional nurses than I do.
I said they don't have romantic lives. They're all bluff and empty talk. And the ones I know drink and take prescription psychiatric medication. Most of the ones I 've met work in nursing homes. And do NOT get me started on the horrors of nursing homes!

I am a single physician, and most of the female physicians I know are either single man-haters with daggers for eyes or married dominatrixes who constantly complain about the men in their lives, the fact that they have no time for their children, and usually work 1-2 days a week. They also seem to all know the best divorce lawyers in town just "in case", and they think the "system" is just grande. Most of the nurses are just openly hostile,man-haters. I had one cursing at me and thought she was going to punch me about a week ago because I made a comment in a casual conversation that the military did nothing but add to the deficit...lol. After words a couple of the nurses that are moderately sane informed me she was "crazy". I believe she has been fired.
