Hawaii was always an adventure.

Engine failure at nite on takeoff, fraid would run into Diamond Head.

A/C was drunk on one nite takeoff.

Major electrical fire four hours out, at nite.

New A/C making VFR approach to Hickam, lined up with wrong airport, used all the over run.

Let down at nite thru horrible thunderstorms. Pre radar days. Dont recall ever being there and have things uneventful.
