My husband has watched it and says she acts stupid on camera but obviously knows more than she shows. Also their banter is too scripted. All those survival shows are fake to some extent as are most reality shows. I like the guys on Dual Survival and I always like Survivorman. He actually did survival not just showing you how it was done. And he filmed his own stuff.

That is true.
They all have a crew that follows them filming and helping them if things get too tough.
Survivorman has no crew and no help. He films himself and actually survives. He's not "special forces" or anything, just some Canadian guy.

Prejudiced and biased, as always. I wager you didn't enjoy during the fifties and sixties, "Leave it to Beaver" or "My Three Sons" as well... and I suspect you avoided Ozzie and Harriet and the Lucille Ball shows.

But you enjoyed the GONG show, correct? How about Laugh-In?
