Zappa really was anti drug. Tis a shame Lowell didn't lead a clean life. He might not have died so young.

early 70's in atlanta ga.,at the 'great southeast music hall',a relatively small place with rows of floor seating,cushioned,with 2 ft. high knee walls to lean on and concessions included buckets o' beer. thankfully the crowds were very well behaved back then,still being in the peace movement era.word got around town a new singer by the name of robert palmer would be there,as i was mildly coherent that day i made my way to the event. third row from stage,i sat and watched this dude with a black tux,white,open collared frill blouse with a bright red carnation leading his band in the song 'sneakin sally thru the alley'behind him,was lowell george,i was never the same....incredible concert.
He might not have died so young
