The current U.S. clue- and helplessness in Afghanistan, with its strategy that no one knows whether it will work and with no Plan B, is definitely crying out for some "out of the box" thinking. But the ideas which have started to appear on various websites reminds one of the mad Dr. Strangelove, who learned "how to stop worrying and love the bomb" in Stanley Kubrick's 1964 movie. Most frightening is that some of these ideas and plans do not spring from the minds of fringe commentators but from the heart of the U.S. establishment. But for remote-view "experts" and newcomers in the field alike the advice would be: some closer-up knowledge about the country would help.

You calling the U.S. mad without mentioning any of the insane domestic policies have passed by D.C., from Obamacare to the bailouts, shows how ignoble you are.

Thanks for playing, but I've posted about the stupidity of those things, too.

I'm an anarchist-leaning libertarian, so pretty much any government program comes under fire from me.

And if you are trying, in some ham-fisted way, to subtly defend our interventionism in the world, you have a long row to hoe, my friend.

Over time I've seen a pattern with PaulCJ. He can say anything bad about the government that he wants and be a "patriot" yet the minute someone else opens their mouth with a negative comment, he replies with some sort of idiotic remark like this. This is especially true with foreign policy. He is your typical pro-empire/uber-interventionist Tea Partyer.
