$2.89 for regular unleaded. One local entrepreneur gives folks a .05 cent break a gallon between the hours of 3P - 6P. He's packed during those hours.

What is it in your area?

$2.97 at all four stations.

Such reminds me of the hatred so many people have for labor unions. Why????

Simple.

Amazing that four different companies all raise to the exact same price in one small town on the same day, within thirty minutes of each other.

Now, a cynical person might believe there just might be some collusion, some unwritten agreement, that makes sure they all make the maximum profit possible for their product.

Now this meteoric rise in profit means wealth in the owners pocket for which we must say nothing.

A labor union demands ten cents an hour, strikes, and it drags out for a year and they end up settling for 3 cents an hour. Damned labor thieves anyway. Ruining the country.

The four stations? Oh, they pay the minimum wage, all but two employees are part timers, no benefits, and the owners, ALL LIVE ELSEWHERE.

I was quoting Regular. Is the $2.97 regular?

Regular.

It is interesting to watch the four stations, all owned by large chains, no one ever undercuts the others by even a penny.

However, when the price of oil takes a dramatic drop, there is no change for weeks and then a penny or two at a time.

Robber barons???? what the hell, if I am unhappy I can drive ten miles to the next town and find the exact same price.

The same thing here. All the stations nraised the prices 25 cents a gallon in the last two weeks. Gas went from $2.659 to $2.899.

People need to do what we did back in the 70's to protest the goughing. Pull into the pump, buy $1.00 worth of gas, wash all the windows, check the oil. gauge the tires, and use the restroom, all with your vehicle setting at the pumps. Then pay for it all with 100 pennies. The price will come down because of the lost business.

The highest price seems to be Stewarts(usually the lowest) and it's higher than Exxon or Mobile(usually the highest).
