Frankly, I'm not sure it makes a huge difference since there will always be more than enough rah-rah gung-ho Rambo types like West, Tits, and McCucaracha to keep the horror scenario looming.

You forgot to mention "pills_boy_Limbaugh" ... another faux conservative.

No, your post clearly implies that you don't.

The tax post? It's elementary. The LESS money central government confiscates, the SMALLER it becomes. The SMALLER it becomes, the more your liberty will grow.

ok, i understand and agree with pretty much everything you said except that the democrat politicians were fully aware of the agenda and were complicit. otherwise, why didn't they raise holy hell enmasse? the same argument could be said of legislation that the dems (when it's their turn) push through with hardly any opposition from the republicans. they take turns playing good guy/bad guy. that's the reason we need to get rid of the incumbents. that's got to begin somewhere. if it's a failure (i expect it will be), what have we lost by trying this cycle when so many are up?

Not LACUMO. His whole survival depends upon the federal government he spent his whole adult life working for. Food, housing, medicine. Instead of fighting he will be naming names to the government in order to ensure they continue taking care of him. It's all he knows.

You still have never answered my question as to why the Germans c. 1940s didn't simply oust Hitler.

Ahhhhh.......maybe because they liked his pitch? Me? Had I been around in the late 30s, I would have stood with Charles Lindbergh and the American First Committee. I assume you would have too.

The Germans did not attempt to oust Hitler for the same reason the Russians did not try to oust Stalin...IT IS CALLED THE RULE OF THE GUN...

Oust was NOT possible in either case by civil means, oust was possible only thru assassination.

Akin to 1940 and now. Americans were in love with Roosevelt, he was our savior...until the day he sprung the draft on us, then millions of people knew they had been swindled, that war was coming.

Which will come first now, war or the draft???? I put huge odds on a draft, then and only then will Americans wake the hell up.

I do NOT recall in my time a President that actually sought a smaller government. As for the most inept President, the laurels go to Obama, a man totally in over his head, made president solely because he is black.

Apparently Obama was happy with all that tyrannical stuff Bush got passed because he hasn't said anything about dispensing with any of it. Only things that have been dispensed with is the rule of law, American pride and place in the world. Now we have a dictator instead of a president. Make no mistake, when any man has the power to have another man arrested and put in prison indefinitely without a trial that is beyond the legitimate powers of the president.

Liberty is not a means to a higher political end. It is itself the highest political end.
Lord Acton

He (Gordon Duff) also implies that forcibly removing Obama, a Constitution-hating, on-the-down-low, crackhead Communist, is an attack on America, Mom, and apple pie. I swear these military people are worse than useless. Just look around at the condition of the country and tell me if they have fulfilled their oaths to protect the nation from all enemies foreign and domestic.

My Father was anti Roosevelt from day one. Few would discuss politics with him, until the draft and war came into being, then it was amazing how so many people had been anti Roosevelt from day one.

When their kids had to march off to war, they paid attention, but only after it was too late.

If a politician takes a traditional stand on values and a constitutionalist position on the issues that face us without genuflecting to Israel, he will quickly find that there is no cash for "kooks" and "right wingers."

that is so true only it's not exclusive to rightwingers as far as Israel goes. i don't recall hearing any leftwingers/dems speaking out agains Israel either.

From Politico...

"On this day in 1940, President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed a selective service act that required men between the ages of 21 and 30 to register with their local draft boards. The legislation, which Congress had approved two days earlier, marked the first peacetime conscription in U.S. history."

My Grandfather was pro Roosevelt, until the age limit was raised to 65 and he had to register for the draft. He turned anti FDR that day.

Men were drafted up to age 39 before the end of the war. I had two Uncles that were just shy of 39 that were drafted.

The age was raised to 65 for two reasons, flush out more bodies and if need be men would be drafted to work in factories. However so many women were willing to work that it did not become necessary. My Grandfather was born in 1878 and had to register

One could volunteer at 16. Some lied their age, the youngest being 12 years olde.

Prior to that the Supreme Court had ruled twice it was unconstitutional to forbid hiring of children.

He did no such thing. He just spread the practice around the world.

What he did was create [within] the international global companies that have, from the USA, created child labor around the world. And contemporary politics in America further endorses the practice: the goal is cheap labour for capitalist PIGS, while enhancing a fine appearance about the USA, the land of opportunity and the home of the brave.

Right, just like the Germans did.

And your underlying assumption that if they fight we'll win is seriously flawed. Against that kind of state millions would get wiped out and they would think nothing of it

No fight is guaranteed, but I think you’ll have a hard time selling citizen inactivity - related to fear - should the government confiscate our pay checks at gunpoint as you suggest in your #140. We're not the disarmed peoples of the former Third Reich. As for yourself, feel free to behave as you like in that, or any other situation this government places you in.
