You seem to have difficulty in determining how the final nails will be put into the coffin of your liberties.
Eric, not to be argumentative here, but some of us have been kicking around these issues long before you have. I won't bore you with my personal story, but let me say this; you haven't a monopoly on understanding the issues nor their critical nature. We disagree on how to step back off the edge of the cliff, and for me at least, I'm no longer going to walk around like Marley's ghost covered with chains. I have a life to live and if and when the perfect candidate appears on the scene, perhaps we can both work for h/she.
Klein may be a Zionist too, but I don't see the expenses for the wars being pushed nearly as hard from the left.
Yeah, lets bag this since nothing either of us will say is going to change minds or opinion regarding this election cycle. I will say this about wars. christine once posted a great flow chart regarding them, and under which administration - a D or an R - the war(s) began. maybe she can find it. Also, my first presidential vote was for Nixon who ran as a "end the war with honor" candidate. Vietnam was JFKs & JBJs baby.
the democrat politicians are every bit the warmongers and every bit in the pocket of Israel as are the republicans. War is the Health of the State. that's the principle they govern by. and, take into consideration this fact.
When you sit down and really analyze it, you quickly realize that there is no way that the U.S. government can be extricated from the U.S. economy now. Instead of the free enterprise system that we once had in this country, today we have a situation where the U.S. government has become the very core of the economy. It is the hub around which everything else in the economy revolves.
none of this is going to change short term, so it simply comes down to some degree of gridlock on issues of lesser importance for this election. i admit that for some, maybe even myself, it might just be a desire to get rid of personalities that are the most despicable to us. and it's never good when either Rs or Ds have control of all branches of government.
But they never installed A, the military on our soil, B, created the DHS/HOSE, C, revoked Posse Comitatus and Habeus Corpus, D, drafted the Patriot Act, etc., etc., et al., and etc.
you think that republicans did this all on their own? wasn't the PA drafted when clinton was in office? it had been prepared in advance of 9/11 which was a planned event for how long? also, can you elaborate on A?

i was thinking. am i correct when i conclude that you think the Ds are the lesser of the two evils and that your opinion is that we're better off with Ds in control of the house and the presidency?
ok, i understand and agree with pretty much everything you said except that the democrat politicians were fully aware of the agenda and were complicit. otherwise, why didn't they raise holy hell enmasse? the same argument could be said of legislation that the dems (when it's their turn) push through with hardly any opposition from the republicans. they take turns playing good guy/bad guy. that's the reason we need to get rid of the incumbents. that's got to begin somewhere. if it's a failure (i expect it will be), what have we lost by trying this cycle when so many are up?
As I see it, anything that accomplishes the goals is the solution.
This is NOT good, Eric. Basically, you are following an old political axiom that manifests, "the ends justifies the means." This leads to warped political philosophies that encourage social barbarism.
