They broke the mold with Mr. Carson.

What a talent.

If I ever get to the point where I don't appreciate a nice rack, just shoot me.

I'm dead already.

Carson was one of a kind, and he did it with class. To this day I have no idea if he was a D or an R, and not a soul I know cared.

Also brings back memories of a much happier era.

Yeah, or at least the times seemed a lot less desparate. TV was even decent.

The only thing Carson ever did that I thought was uncalled for or crude was his treatment of Jim Garrison. Carson was very adversarial.

wouldn't it be fun to do that to real politicians? that would be a popular reality show i bet.

Life can be really depressing. I thought the quote was appropriate to the conversation.

Now that I think about it, it doesn't really pass the truth test. There are greater sorrows than that. Aren't there?

that quote can encompass a lot. one can be in misery longing for the loss of a number of things.

if you think about it, the longer one lives, the more losses he must learn to accept and cope with.

Hopefully there should be some gains, accomplishments to compensate for all the loss.

I'm gonna be really pissed if we (our spirits) don't live forever. What a rip-off that would be.

If I were directing that "political reality show" each politician contestant would be connected directly to the highest powered series of generators I could find instead of a horn and the first little lie would turn them to ashes.
