The public health nurse is pressuring us to get our 15 month old vaccinated.

I'm against it. My wife is on the fence. Of course the nurse is all for it.

Does anyone know of any very good, credible, concise, clear, succinct, convincing documents or websites I could download and print to show my wife and ones to show the nurse?

If you choose to vaccinate you should ask your GP to order single dose vials for your child and instruct the doctor that no cluster of shots be given in a single day. There is no medical reason to give a child multiple vaccines in a single visit, and the added expense of *single dose versus multi dose vials is no more than .50 per shot. The added safety and peace of mind of ordering single dose vials and single shots each office visit far outweigh the added expense and inconvenience of separate office visits for shots not given in a single visit.

I trust my GP and I would simply ask him to research the history and to administer the shots the same way they would have been given 40 years ago. If certain vaccines didn't exist then, I would ask the doctor to exercise extreme caution and administer each individually, even if I'm billed for separate office visits. It's not good enough if "only one in a million infants" react to shot clusters. Even those extreme odds aren't good enough when my child or yours is at issue.

On an ancillary note, when I lived in Davenport, IA some of the young doctors in training at Palmer Chiropractic sported bumper stickers that read "STOP BLOOD POLLUTION". If you are committed to this as a lifestyle choice and you're prepared to home school your children and/or move to a state where such choices are still legal for parents, then there is a network of parents, doctors, etc., who eschew all "blood pollution" and you won't be alone.

But, if your wife isn't a true believer you will inevitably lose that argument, so you'll be better served by a GP who will understand your concerns and administer the vaccines as safely as humanly possible.

Your GP should be happy to accommodate your wishes and not argue or otherwise make you feel uneasy because of your requests.

Remember you have Indiana Congressman Dan Burton on your side, and he has been the flag bearer for hearings on vaccines/autism after his two healthy twin grandsons received "shotgun blast vaccinations" and both were stricken with autism. Just because BIG PHARMA denies responsibility doesn't make it true. And they won't remove Thimerosal now for the same reason that Big Tobacco won't advertise a safe cigarette-how can they without admitting that the others aren't safe?

Also, Big Pharma has already been immunized against lawsuits for any vaccine related illnesses or consequences thanks to Clinton and Bush. SO, if every 100,000 children are stricken and Big Pharma cannot be sued and they continue to shower congress with "precious ingots" to prevent any serious studies or hearings about a pandemic that didn't exist 30 years ago, then it's up to you to protect your children while balancing your wife's fears about "walking on the wild side with radicals".

*Thimerosal or mercury is a preservative that's added to multi dose vials to kill any bacteria, virus or fungus that could be introduced through multiple needle sticks. Single dose vials require no such preservatives. Most doctors with fairly busy practices as well as clinics that vaccinate many children save a few pennies by ordering the large vials. If you specify Thimerosal-free single dose vials and ask to watch as the syringes are filled, and you direct your physician to space the vaccines out including the MMR vaccine (measles, mumps and rubella) shot, then you've taken all the precautions you can.

FYI, In Japan, the MMR vaccination has been discontinued, with single vaccines being used for each disease. Needless to say the Big Pharma criminals insist that Rates of autism diagnosis have continued to increase, showing no correlation with the change.[41] (wiki) (They don't study patients who are vaccinated with single dose or Thimerosal-free vaccines and I suspect that not enough Japanese parents are demanding it yet.)

If you read wiki and other shill literature they've never heard of anything so absurd as vaccines causing childhood autism but for G_D's sake don't ever give those lying bastards the benefit of the doubt, because if they're wrong they sacrifice nothing.

If your GP gives you any grief and suggests that "if every parent demanded separate visits for each vaccine" that it would unduly burden his practice, then it may be time to change doctors.

And, I'd like to suggest that you do the research and find the most compelling evidence and then sit Wifey down to read it. This should include the words of heartbroken parents describing the indifference of the medical establishment when their children were inexplicably stricken. It's important to let her see examples of the people we've been conditioned to trust suddenly turning into hunker down save asses who lawyer up and turn to ice when lives are destroyed and families are devastated....

As you know I'm not sold on the Thimerosal link to autism. I will agree there is a correlation. As we are oft to say in AGW debates, correlations is not causation. I have my reasons for disagreeing on that issue but I won't go into them here. I was intrigued by that one study that looked at the correlation and came up with another cause. I think that or something similar is much more likely.
