There is a good chance that you've heard her music before sung by someone else. If you ever heard Three Dog Night sing "Eli's Comin" or Blood sweat and Tears "And when I Die", you've heard her music. Her tunes were also sung by the Fifth Dimension and Barbara Streisand. Nobody sang them like she did. Such passion...

Well I'm glad I made you aware of her. I'd say she was the most important woman singer/songwriter of my generation. Her and Joni Mitchell. Laura had more soul...her father was Italian and her mother was Jewish although she used new testament themes in her music, listen to "Time and Love"it's obvious. She was very American. She is my muse...
