Now there's proof that green tea can help.
Earlier this year, Hong Kong researchers studied tea drinking in relation to the kind of chromosomal damage that occurs with aging. They found that people who drank an average of 3 cups of green tea a day versus those who drank an average of 1/4 cup a day were about 5 years younger in terms of chromosomal damage.
In September, another study from Hong Kong found that drinking 2 cups of green tea daily for only four weeks produced a 20% reduction in DNA damage, another measure of biological aging.
