They needed to review my passport to determine if I just came back from a visit in Saudia Arabia at Mecca.

That's a really odd request. I'm sure there are air facilities of some kind in Mecca if only for security reasons, but all international traffic that I'm aware of goes through Jeddah 75km distant.

Mecca is not a port of entry AFAIK. Even pilgrims on Hajj are all processed in Jeddah. It's a wonder that TSA would be looking for a stamp on a passport stamped "Mecca." Anyway non-Muslims are allowed there under only the most extraordinary circumstances.

This shit isn't going to stop. Check this out:

TSA boss: Our pat-downs turn up "artfully concealed objects" By Nate Anderson | Last updated about an hour ago

At a Senate oversight hearing today, Transportation Security Administration head John Pistole explained that TSA agents really do need to encounter testicular resistance when performing their newly enhanced airport pat-downs. Since switching to the new pat-downs in the last few weeks, "We have detected dozens and dozens of, let's say, 'artfully concealed objects'" that could pose a risk to flight, said Pistole.

Indeed, the government's own covert penetration testing of airports showed that it wasn't difficult to get contraband into airports under the old regime, thanks in large part to this "artful concealment." Those tests showed that the US was "not being thorough enough in our pat-downs," said Pistole. When combined with 2009's "underwear bomber" case, it became clear to TSA that something much more aggressive (though short of a cavity search) would be required.

Pistole faced surprisingly gentle questioning from senators of both parties, even though most admitted that their own phones were ringing off the hook on the issue. "We're getting hundreds of calls," said Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC). The public is "significantly upset," said Sen. Johnny Isakson (R-GA), adding that much of the outrage focused on children being searched. TSA head John Pistole

Pistole said he "understood" the concern (and he added that children under 12 weren't subject to the enhanced pat-down). When one senator asked if this "understanding" meant changes were coming, Pistole was direct. "Am I going to change the policies? No."

Indeed, TSA is moving ahead with its controversial AIT scanning program, which can see through clothing. 385 millimeter wave (radio) and backscatter (X-ray) scanners are deployed right now at US airports, but by the end of 2011, that number will jump to 1,000 machines.

But TSA is working with private companies on a software upgrade to the machines, one that will render the human body itself more like a stick figure than a realistic image, and one that could automatically highlight areas of concern.

The system, called "Automated Target Recognition," doesn't work yet; it still produces too many false positives. But Pistole hopes to have something operational within months, and said in his opening statement that "this capability would make screening more efficient and would eliminate most privacy concerns about the technology."

But for now, it's nude body scans and/or "enhanced" pat-downs (yes, the unlucky can actually get both, as one senator lamented). With the busiest travel season in the US approaching, what happens to those who encounter the new regime and object?

Your elected congresscritter(s) fully endorse this shit.

That's a really odd request.

I thought so, too. But, once they pull you to the side .... WHAT THE HELL CAN YOU DO? These guys/gals didn't just pat me down... OH NO! .. these same TSA agents went through my carry on luggage like I was bringing back the best hashish/cocaine under the Sun. I had to pull out everything from my pockets and they went through my several wallets challenging me why I had so much cash (about 5K bucks) coming back from an international trip.

Trust me... you can't pull out a US Constitution/Bill of Rights with these guys or make fun of them for their heroism accosting an innocent airplane passenger. What you do is answer the questions with FACTUAL answers calmly despite their insinuations. And, get out with the least resistance.

These videos showing recent TSA assaults only display outbound passengers. But let me assure you, it is much, much worse for inbound international passengers.

Other personal HORROR stories:

After 9/11 occurred, I was placed on one of the "terrorist watch lists" that the Department of State maintains. You don't receive any information about that stuff other than you start noticing a tremendous difference in screening. Until, 2008, I was on that list ... and I travel a lot domestically and Internationally.

But what you might want to know, is that being on that list ensured I could not acquire a passenger ticket through pre-planned ticketing and using the kiosks anymore or use an electronic ticket. Instead, I had to check in with the airline counter while waiting for DoS or TSA approval .. sometimes up to one hour delays; just waiting for a fucking ticket after rendering my passport and/or driver's license.

But the HORRORS only started there. After that, the first pre-screening leaving the ticketing area where my carry-on baggage (typically a laptop with all kinds of stuff) had to be viewed. And then off-to the metal detectors where my same stuff from a prescreening stage was then again pulled out. And then a customary "pat-down" and further metal detection wanding by some TSA guard; belts, shoes, hats, coats all my stuff removed the carry on luggage while having to hold ticket and photo-ID all the way.

You would think that was enough, 'eh? BUT NO! At the assigned gate, another security pat down.

Happened all the time until 2008 with me. I never knew the reasons either. The government won't inform you.

You don't really expect him to say anything else, do you? I don't. I expect it.

He is a pig, and pigs will do what they always do. And frankly I hope that they get even more tyrannical with their searches. It will be like throwing gas on a fire.

We are approaching the most heavily traveled time of year. When there is significant financial impact due 12 y/o kids getting their genitals groped, along with the adults, making people unwilling to pay for being abused, then changes will either occur, or there will be more bankruptcies. And not just airline bankruptcies but also those that depend on this travel.

It's all about the money.

So what he wants or doesn't want, doesn't mean jack shit, and I bet that he knows it.

His actions will have consequences and they won't be pretty. People are finally waking up. Too bad it took getting their balls groped for them to finally realize that they do have balls after all.

When it comes to women being groped, I'll let them speak for themselves.

I want to say ... he is all for changing the policies, too. Children will be groped as well. Why? It is possible a terrorist would conceal contraband on a child.

And, the limitations that are already imposed must be removed. This new "feature" towards your own security is only going to become more invasive. So, it is going to change.

The little three year old was terrified. Good parents, good people, even shows like Barney try to warn children about "Stranger Danger" and protecting themselves, then they get "frisked" if they have to fly somewhere by a TerrifyingStrangersAgent.

Big oil interests are probably behind this madness so that there will be more people driving to get to their destinations than flying.

Full-body scanners are waste of money, Israeli expert says

leading Israeli airport security expert says the Canadian government has wasted millions of dollars to install "useless" imaging machines at airports across the country.

"I don't know why everybody is running to buy these expensive and useless machines. I can overcome the body scanners with enough explosives to bring down a Boeing 747," Rafi Sela told parliamentarians probing the state of aviation safety in Canada.

"That's why we haven't put them in our airport," Sela said, referring to Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion International Airport, which has some of the toughest security in the world.

I suppose they use "behavior scanners" there and who knows what else.

If people built their own hot-air balloons, that might work as an alternative to the air travel control-freaks.

Where? From I see, most Americans think it is for their own good and fully comply; if nothing else, they have a flight to catch and want to safely arrive at their planned destinations without interference.

People are not acting as they have been programmed to act.

Not from my perspective.

They have finally found their balls/ovaries, atrophied as they may be. If people were acting like the zombies that they tried to program them as, I'd be worried.

I dont think that this would be making the MSM otherwise. They'd bury it, but they can't. The politicians would do nothing too. But now they are worried about the lack of holiday travelers and the loss of $$$.

This story is just too big to ignore.

I see this escalating. Evidently you don't. That's OK. Time will tell who is right.

One possibility though is that the TSA fucks will pull back, letting the resisters think that they won. This could have been a trial balloon that took on a life of its own, thinking that people were already sufficiently cowed into just going along with whatever.

Then again, pulling back means "losing face".

There's a lot of ways that this can go. .

Here's what needs to happen. People need to start assaulting the TSA when they're out in public. Give them the same kind of treatment they give everyone else. Let them see what it's like, how it feels.

If that doesn't change our climate in this country, then we need to start beating the shit out of them in the airports for assault. You touch me inappropriately, you get broken in half. Period.

The problem with your fine recommendation is that you are starting from the "bottom-up" not the "top-down". The TSA authority has strict standards of conduct sanctioned by both DHS and State Department. And those administrative bodies receive their over-sight and marching orders from Congress and the President ... and rarely intervened by the US Supreme Court.

Plus you are going to jail.

I understand that. But they aren't getting away with it. It's generating rage. They are now worried about the only thing they ever think about: money, and the loss of said money due to this, all of this is on top of a fucked up economy. They only pay lip service to privacy etc.

I'm not saying that no one will fly because of it. But X% will refuse to fly and will drive instead, and Y% will stay at home and not spend any money. What those percentages will be is anyones guess. It doesn't take a large percentage to put the PTB in a world of hurt. Rage is a great motivator.

Agreed. It will be interesting to see where this story goes.

That the national MSM and politicians are getting involved tells me that they are worried.

This reminds me of all of the police crime stories I found for my blog. What should have made the MSM never did. It was strictly local news that picked it up, and even then it was almost always short on details. The national MSM doesn't cover these pig crimes for a reason. It makes their system look bad.

That they picked up this groping story surprises me.

Yeah, well, as has been said here the net has a lot to do with it.

But there's also the fact that the press by and large does not fly Gulfstream or get the Gulfstream treatment. If they fly a lot, they'll be getting a lot of that terahertz radiation and be increasingly likely to be subject to the intimate groping pat down treatment. I'm sure they hear a load of grief from coworkers, friends and relatives.

The government will bend here. If they don't they will break. The public is hot. I secretly hope the feds don't back down. Maybe we'll see some riots.

By the way does it p**s you off that Muslims think they should be given an exemption on these pat downs??

Heck, you could probably charter a little plane and not have to go through all that aggravation.

Body Scanner Operator Caught Masturbating at Colorado Airport

August 4th, 2010

by Hugh Muzzbe

Not only do the new airport body scanners take risque pictures but according to the U.S. Marshals Service, the images in their thousands are being saved on hard disks.

DENVER - USA - A full body scanner operator was caught masturbating during a scanning session by airport staff late Tuesday.

Airport officials at Denver International airport were on high alert yesterday when a full body scanner operator was caught masturbating in his booth as a team of High School netball players went through the scanner.

"The young ladies were going through the scanner one by one, and every time one went through, this guys face was getting redder and redder. His hand was moving and then he started sweating. He was then seen doing his 'O' face. That's when the security dragged him out of his booth and cuffed him. He had his pants round his ankles and everybody was really disgusted," Jeb Rather, a passenger on a flight to New York told CBS news.

The controversial scanners display every minute detail of a person's body and have been called intrusive by privacy campaigners. Body scanners penetrate clothing to provide a highly detailed image so accurate that critics have likened it to a virtual porn shoot. Technologies vary, with millimeter wave systems capturing highly detailed pictures of genitals, and backscatter X-ray machines able to show precise anatomical detail. The U.S. government likes the idea because body scanners can detect concealed weapons better than traditional magnetometers.

"What do you want to do, get blown up by a goddamn Arab at 30,000 feet or we get to see your private parts? It's up to you, the ball's in your park," head of the TSA's scanning department, Rodney Schroeder, told CNN.

The TSA won't even tell you you have the right to opt out of the scan. If it was up to them you would have no protections at all.

Yes they will. You can choose a full professional "pat-down" including a genital rub before boarding a plane if you opt out.

An airport security guard allegedly battered a colleague who ridiculed him about the size of his manhood after he walked through a hi-tech body scanner.

Miami-Dade Police say Rolando Negrin snapped because he 'couldn't take the jokes anymore'.

During a training session at Miami International Airport, Negrin's co-workers had noticed his private parts as he walked through a new 'whole bod More..y image' machine.

The technology - designed to boost security at airports - shows extremely revealing images.

Over the next few days, 44-year-old Negrin was relentlessly ridiculed and lost his temper on May 4, it is claimed.

I am attempting to suggest that, as an American citizen you have choices exercising your rights, liberties and freedoms when confronted with a full X-ray body scan. You can opt out. They don't care; you can get a full genital rub OR forfeit your ticket.

For most business travelers, we tried that publick display and show your CATO published pocketbook US Constitution and Bill of Rights since 2001. We lost. Everyone has lost since 2001. And all the grief and upset won't stop anything.

Here's what needs to happen. People need to start assaulting the TSA when they're out in public..

Excellent post, Tommy. TSA agents all need blanket parties.

He (Gordon Duff) also implies that forcibly removing Obama, a Constitution-hating, on-the-down-low, crackhead Communist, is an attack on America, Mom, and apple pie. I swear these military people are worse than useless. Just look around at the condition of the country and tell me if they have fulfilled their oaths to protect the nation from all enemies foreign and domestic.

As if those are the only two choices. Rodney Schroeder is a dumb sumbitch, ain't he?
