Last year the TSA took me into the "back room" after arriving from Taiwan at LAX to interview me. They needed to review my passport to determine if I just came back from a visit in Saudia Arabia at Mecca.
I told them I eat pork especially BBQ'd. After an hour of delay, they let me go.
A year and a half ago, when my wife and I arrived from Denmark to Atlanta GA, the TSA took my wife to the side because of the contraband sniffing mutt they use to screen arriving international passengers. All of our checked in baggage was impounded beyond the carry on stuff we had.
They let us go and we missed our connecting flight because of the two hour delay.
Being a frequent flyer, I see this stuff all the time. Only in America do we see this kind of terrorist activity fully endorsed by the USA government. It won't stop, either.

That's a really odd request. I'm sure there are air facilities of some kind in Mecca if only for security reasons, but all international traffic that I'm aware of goes through Jeddah 75km distant.
Mecca is not a port of entry AFAIK. Even pilgrims on Hajj are all processed in Jeddah. It's a wonder that TSA would be looking for a stamp on a passport stamped "Mecca." Anyway non-Muslims are allowed there under only the most extraordinary circumstances.
