Link to FOX NEWS Israeli Activities in the US In the wake of Israel’s terrorist attack, in international waters, on a civilian humanitarian flotilla, carrying relief supplies to Gaza, a troubling question arises for thinking Americans. Have Israeli authorities, who possess a major nuclear arsenal, become dangerously erratic? Another American was murdered by the Israeli's in the attack, along with the many murdered previously. The attack on these humanitarian boats, brings back memories of another unprovoked attack by Israel on an American ship called the Liberty. At 0800 hrs, 8 June, 1967, eight Israeli reconnaissance flights flew over 'Liberty,' which was flying a large American flag. The 'USS Liberty' was steaming slowly in international waters, 14 miles off the Sinai Peninsula. At 1400 hrs, squadrons of low-flying Israeli Mystere along with Mirage-III fighter-bombers repeatedly attacked the American ship with rockets, napalm, and cannon. The attacks from the air lasted 20 minutes. The 'Liberty' was left on fire, listing. Eight crew lay dead, a hundred seriously wounded, including the captain, Commander William McGonagleWilliam McGonagle. At 1424 hrs, three Israeli torpedo boats again attacked the burning 'Liberty' with 20mm and 40mm shells. At 1431hrs an Israeli torpedo hit the 'Liberty' midship, precisely where the signals intelligence systems were located. Twenty-five more Americans died. Israeli gunboats then circled the wounded 'Liberty,' firing at crew trying to fight the fires. At 1515, the crew were ordered to abandon ship. The Israeli warships closed in and poured machine gun fire into the crowded escaping life rafts, sinking two. American sailors were massacred in cold blood, a rescue mission ordered by US Sixth Fleet carrier aircraft, was mysteriously aborted on orders from the White House. An hour after that attack, Israeli warships and planes again returned. Commander McGonagle gave the order. 'prepare to repel borders.' Then the Israelis, fearful of intervention by the US Sixth Fleet, departed. 'Liberty' was left shattered.The Israeli attacks killed 34 US seamen and wounded 171 out of a crew of 297, the worst loss of American naval personnel from hostile action since World War II. US Secretary of State, Dean Rusk, and Joint Chiefs of Staff head, Admiral Thomas Moorer, insisted the Israeli attacks were deliberate and designed to sink 'Liberty.' So did three CIA reports. One asserted Israel's Defense Minister, Gen. Moshe DayanMoshe Dayan, had personally ordered the attack.The massacre of 'Liberty' was quickly hushed up by President Lyndon JohnsonLyndon Johnson who came to power after the assassination of John F KennedyJohn F Kennedy. Washington's recent backing on the 30th of May, for a UN resolution for a nuclear-free Middle East that singles out Israel, has angered and deeply worried the Jewish state. Although officials are enraged, they are reluctant about openly criticising one of their last allies. The resolution adopted by the United Nations on the 30th of May calls on Israel to join the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and expects it to open its facilities. It further calls for a regional conference in 2012 with the goal of a nuclear-free Middle East. Israel is the only nuclear power in the Middle East, with more than 200 warheads. US backing for the resolution which has caused consternation among enraged Israeli officials, who interpret the move as "a resounding slap on the face" which has dealt a very public and humiliating blow to Israel's nuclear ambiguity. "The American support for the resolution, after decades in which it supportedIsrael on this issue, came as a complete surprise," a leading newspaper said. "In the secret talks that Netanyahu held with Obama's men... Israel was promised that the resolution would not focus on Israel and that if it did, the Americans would vote against." The left-leaning Haaretz daily said Israel had been "sacrificed by the US on the altar of a successful conference" in what constituted "a diplomatic victory forEgypt" which has campaigned against Israel's nuclear arsenal. So what has this got to do with Israel nuking America, I hear you ask. Well if we consider recent Israeli actions in just the last couple of years alone, we find it has been found guilty of War crimes by the recent UN report. These two actions above on boats and ships in International water are not the actions of balanced, democratic, reliable state, they are clearly crimes against humanity and state terrorism. Israel also had its diplomats expelled in several countries recently, for theft of passports from several former allies, which were used in an extra-judicial murder in Dubai. Of course the question of Israel nuking a few million Americans can't be asked publicly in the American news media, as long time White House correspondent Helen Thomas's treatment proves. Neither can it be asked of U.S. politicians who are afraid of assassination, where fear of the pro-Israel lobby remains strong. But it is a concern that is being discussed quietly by foreign policy analysts, military strategists and the intelligence community. It will however require the will of the American taxpayer, who has funded all of their nuclear development, to exert pressure on their elected representatives to ensure there is not a Nuclear strike on the US from Israel. Unfortunately, there is some truth to this article, considering it became public earlier this year that there is a radiation signature given off under the Israel Embassy in NYC.
