I read an article, which I should have bookmarked, about a businessman returning to the US from Paris (iirc) and who refused any scan or patdown. And he had some time to kill but after about 2 and a half hours they turned him loose, no fines or anything. Anyone else read it?

Yes, he knew his rights and the law and despite the goons attempts to force him to submit he stood his ground and they had to let him go as they had no legal grounds to stand on.

I have already written a statement I plan to give them the next time I fly, assuming there is a next time. And I based it on pretty much the same argument this guy gave, that as an American I have the right to travel and to not be detained without cause. People are going to have to start doing that with these Napoleon and Hitler wannabes or they are going to make life unbearable. People should have burned Washington to the ground years ago.
