When a business industry is affected negatively by government action, the industry usually fights back and eventually wins to revive their business. However, when the TSA has probably cost the airline industry millions of fliers and billions of dollars, you can't hear a peep from the airlines or their stockholders. I am semiretired and could probably fly 6 to 10 times a year and yet I'm afraid to set foot in an airport where I can be radiated, fondled, raped, and intimidated by grammar school dropout goons. In reading various polls, there are thousands of people in the US with similar apprehensions. Yet, the airline industry will not stand up and fight this giant revenue loss. Is there a secret law in place (yes, we have secret laws in this country) which uses bailout money to pay the airlines for all their revenue loses and it is why the airlines are quiet? This is the only explanation I can think of why a giant industry is silent when their TSA-caused loses must be in the billions. ***************************** BOYCOTT THE AIRLINES. DRIVE THEM OUT OF BUSINESS. IT IS THE ONLY NON-VIOLENT WAY TO END THIS INSANITY!

I wouldn't doubt it at all. If some idiotic government policy was causing you to lose more clients/customers than you could count would you not be protesting?
Liberty is not a means to a higher political end. It is itself the highest political end. He (Gordon Duff) also implies that forcibly removing Obama, a Constitution-hating, on-the-down-low, crackhead Communist, is an attack on America, Mom, and apple pie. I swear these military people are worse than useless. Just look around at the condition of the country and tell me if they have fulfilled their oaths to protect the nation from all enemies foreign and domestic. Interesting posit. That's what I thought. It is a missing part of the puzzle. We've gone through several airline bankruptcies and consolidation in the industry. Thus concentrating the industry in fewer and fewer hands. PanAm's employees wanted to buy out the company and make it employee owned and the banksters would not allow the financing. So, it went bankrupt and was gobbled up. Currently, the airlines, when you call are denying that they are receiving a lot of complaints, and yet there is at least one article out this morning about the volume of calls to complain. So, we have contradictory datums. Thus one or both is false. I am guessing that the denials of heavy complaint volume is the false datum. A. Airlines can no longer operate at a profit and stay in business. B. Flying is a "necessary" function and therefore the Tyranny needs to step in to save it and operate it much like they do municipal transportation and Amtrak rail. The bus lines would no doubt be right behind. C. All of a sudden how/where/when people can travel is entirely up to the Tyranny! Makes perfect sense. Aeropig That would seem to fit their social "model" so I think your supposition is probably pretty close to the mark. Rail travel could have been accelerated and boosted long ago by putting in high speed trains or maglevs. We've had the technology for over 30 years, and yet nothing AT ALL has been done to speed up rail travel. Amtrak has been a black hole losing money year in and year out (last I knew the only profitable line was the "Coast Starlighter" which runs the route from Seattle to L.A.). So, the full picture begins to emerge when you start putting apparently disrelated pieces together i.e., inhibiting NOT speeding travel.

It is. When I was in the Navy and stationed in San Diego I would ride it in preference to flying. I loved hanging out in the club car, playing cards, drinking too much, (this was before the anti-smoking Nazis) and smoking too much. I had a ball.

I miss the old cars they had when I first started riding the train, which I don't anymore, where they actually had a table in the Men's Room where you could sit down and have a nice illicit Poker Game and smoke too many big stinky Cigars. The club car was a real social activity too. I actually played Gin, while getting bombed, with the C.O. of the Enterprise and his relief. I a lowly Third Class Petty Officer was consorting with the Naval Nobility. If I met them on a base it would be "salute!" and, "Yes Sir!".

Its a liability issue. TSA allows the airlines to say "We aren't responsible" if something happens. The finger is pointed back to TSA and TSA, being a Government actor, has sovereign immunity. It is nothing more than that. Keep in mind, the airlines are "common carriers" which means they have to take anyone who buys a ticket, no exceptions. Along with "common carrier" status, they get a liability exception. Add it all up, and you get the TSA who provides a liability shield. Its nothing more than that. Now, as to the airlines themselves, they are in a pickle. Customers get pissed off at TSA and don't fly and that costs them revenue. BUT, they made this 'deal with the devil' for liability purposes. Now the devil is taking his due.
A people unwilling to use force, once diplomatic efforts have been exhausted, in order to preserve or obtain their liberty deserves the tyrants that rule over them.
i wouldn't be surprised if the failing of the airlines is the reason for all this. then .gov bails them out and, voila, .gov owns and controls the industry.

saw another "news" story or rather an upcoming announcement. Are protests going to cause delays? So if you get delayed this holiday season blame the protesters not TSA procedures.
