Illegal aliens in higher education

Dr. Jim PurcellDirector Arkansas Dept. of Higher Education
114 E. Capital Ave.
Little Rock, 72201

December 1, 2010

Dr. Purcell Thank you for your timely response and the data per my email dealing with the illegal Mexican and OTM invasion.

Brandi Hinkle’s statement, an employee of ADHE, regarding a pre-filed Bill for the 2011 legislative session by Reps. Harris & Woods is in line with Arkansas’ interpretation of federal law which addresses eligibility for Higher Education benefits based on citizenship and residency. Regarding Arkansas’ interpretation of federal law, please explain what federal law is being interpreted and how it supersedes 8 USC, Sections 1325, 1324a, 1324c, 1644, Title 19, USC 1459. 8 USC is very specific in dealing with illegal aliens and certainly benefits of any kind are not provided and they are against the law.

Of utmost concern is the fact your data shows there are 1,768 students enrolled in various Arkansas colleges and universities who have phony social security numbers. Obviously, these 1,768 students are illegals who are enjoying personal and academic protection meted out by Arkansas’ colleges and universities under the aegis of you and other heads. These 1.768 students can only be described as law-breakers and their crimes are compounded by falsifying social security numbers.

I am also curious about who is funding the aforementioned illegal students.

Of course the 1.768 illegal students represent only a microcosm of our state’s population. Governor Mike Beebe, Attorney General Dustin McDaniel, and the Arkansas state legislature can only be described as complicit in allowing our state to be overrun by Third World foreign nationals who dilute every phase of our society, i.e. Western Civilization. Certainly, Dr. Purcell, as an educator you are most certainly aware of this.

It must be said here that the 1,768 illegal alien students are stripping Arkansas kids of their rightful opportunities

I have filed FOIA’s with a number of Arkansas agencies, i.e. the state police, U of A Medical Ctr., Children’s Hospital, Dept. of Human Services, Parks & Tourism… have come back with their talking points; we “cannot ask a person if they are legal” & “they don’t keep records”…all of which are bald-faced lies, e.g. self-serving politicians and bureaucrats protecting each other. But what the FOIA’s did reveal was the fact these agencies are spending millions of Arkansas tax dollars protecting illegals and inviting them into our state, facilitating the exploitation of cheap labor for businesses such as Tyson’s, et al and to expand government agencies.

This Theater of the Absurd must cease, and it would be more than appropriate if Chancellor Gearhart would cease his lobbying efforts for illegal aliens.

Dr. Purcell, I hope you will proceed to rectify these moral and legal wrongs. What lesson is being taught to both the illegals and citizens when the laws are not only flouted but willingly broken by our leaders?

Question: What are you and the legislative community prepared to do to remedy the rampant invasion of Arkansas’ colleges and universities by illegal aliens who have compounded their crime by falsifying Social Security numbers and possibly other forms of documentation, and who or what is subsidizing their tuition and other expenses related to their presence in the higher education system?

Joe:

Related to your recent email I wanted to make you aware of proposed legislation for the upcoming legislative session that will specifically spell out the illegal immigrant/state benefit issue. See the notes below in response to a reporter inquiry. I understand the article will come out some time this week. -Jim

Subject: in-state tuition benefits eligibility

Sara, here is some more information for you regarding in-state tuition for those without U.S. citizenship. I’ve also attached the federal statute for you.

Brandi

“House Bill 1008 pre-filed for the 2011 legislative session by Reps. Harris and Woods is in line with Arkansas’s interpretation of federal law which addresses eligibility for higher education benefits based on citizenship and residency,” said Arkansas Department of Higher Education director Jim Purcell, Ed.D. “ADHE monitors compliance with this federal law.”

“Of the 168,595 students enrolled in Arkansas public and private institutions of higher learning this fall, 98 percent had a valid social security number,” Purcell said. “Some students prefer to not provide their SSN as their unique identifier; however, they must prove U.S. citizenship and Arkansas residency to receive in-state tuition. ADHE has required the institutions to verify and ensure the 1,768 students with invalid SSNs are not receiving benefits for which they do not qualify. “

Any woman named Brandi has to be an idiot.

"If ever this vast country is brought under a single government, it will be one of the most extensive corruption, indifferent and incapable of a wholesome care over so wide a spread of surface. This will not be borne, and you will have to choose between reform and revolution. If I know the spirit of this country, the one or the other is inevitable." - Thomas Jefferson
