It occurs to me that the cell phone might be used by someone other than driver while driving. I can think of plenty of situations -- a passenger calling ahead for emergency help, a driver parked by the side of the road calling for repairs or directions, a witness to a crime, and, of course, the many passengers in a bus or mobile home -- where jamming technology on the highway can make things worse. The same technology might foul up ambulance/fire/police radio, GPS, and other stuff. If the jammers go online, cell phone companies may offer new "highway" models that use a frequency that is outside the range of the jammers.

Use two way radios for close communication. No phone bill ever.

God is always good!

Anybody with some technology can jam cell phones. The difference is, it's a federal felony for us to intentionally do so, while it seems just a stroke of the pen away from them being mandated to do it to us.

Bingo! Common sense. I had a guy tell me he can text and drive and he is so good at it that he does it safely to which i told him he was full pf it. He;ll have an accident someday. I only hope he doesn't kill some innocent person.

Jethro posted a warning about driving under the influence just yesterday. Some impaired driver hit and killed an 11 year old girlin the Pittsburgh area about the the time Jethro made the post. It only happens to the other guy. Right? Those bitching about this probably are the biggest abusers.
