Thou hast power only to act not over the result thereof. Act thou therefore without prospect of the result and without succcumbing to inaction. The mind acts like an enemy for those who do not control it...Perform your obligatory duty, because action is indeed better than inaction...Sever the ignorant doubt in your heart with the sword of self-knowledge. Observe your discipline. Arise.

It takes giant balls to start a new religion!

"I am not one of those weak-spirited, sappy Americans who want to be liked by all the people around them. I don’t care if people hate my guts; I assume most of them do. The important question is whether they are in a position to do anything about it." - William S Burroughs

"The Sanction of the Victim!"

That was worth listening to, just for this small phrase.

Wonderful, Thank you.

The good Deacon Dakmar is here, so nice to see you're still doing the Lord's work.

once you hear rand's philosophy, its not tough to figure out why you never hear of her in any mass media, govt school/universities, etc.

I am a great fan of Ayn Rand. I ate up her books, The Fountainhead, Atlas Shrugged, and others, but when I tried to explain or defend "The Virtue of Selfishness" to any of my friends all I got was shocked or disgusted looks.

That's why I love the phrase I quoted in my previous post - The sanction of victims, because it does sum up a great deal of her philosophy so succinctently.
