The tales of woe & horror have been exaggerated, as far as I could tell. I went through TSA security at LAX earlier today and all they had was the usual metal detector. The staff was very friendly & helpful. The line moved swiftly. I suspect that the mass resistance to the innapropriate procedures & the public's awareness of their rights toned down the severity of the TSA. No one groped me, radiated me, or even asked to. No, actually like i said they were genuinely pleasant & professional. I asked one what type security do you have today, & he said just the metal detector. he added that they dont use the body scanner much, despite 'as much as its talked about', as he put it, unless the metal detector goes off. as you know i am extremely conscience of jackboots, & a--h--- govt thugs. nearly every time i encounter one, i can find a chargeable offense. Yet these people were sweet as pie. I thank God for that, literally, and am very happy because i was expecting the worst.

I'm pretty certain they didn't buy them for the occasional use.

They bought them to pay the suppliers for their insider gov contract.

As well there is now a lot of information beginning to surface that:

A. They are a cancer risk. And that is coming from more than one highly credible source - Johns Hopkins Medical School, and UCSF, just off the top of my head.

B. They are ineffective and if you know what you are doing they can be beaten.

C. The public is increasingly aware of A & B and there is that small percentage who actually will stand up for their rights.

dunno- just reporting the facts of my visit. i think they grossly underestimated the public's reaction & have responded accordingly. i am glad for everyone who resisted, & realize it's an ongoing, neverending battle, of the state vs. the people.
