Fucking Roseville Fire Dept. What ASSHOLES! Remember the video of the choir singing the Hallelujah Chorus in the mall food court. Well someone put one together for Roseville Galleria Mall. Word circulated in the churches, school system and internet. A good 5000 people showed up for the event. 15 minutes before the event was to take place they CLOSED THE MALL! They didn't disperse the crowd, THEY SHUT THE WHOLE MALL DOWN!!!! Police hilicopter circling above, cops at the entrances etc etc. EVERYBODY was pissed. Many boos at the announcement. Businesses pissed. In 15 minutes the event would have taken place. Many people would have stayed behind to shop waiting on the traffic to clear. I knew something was up when I saw the fire dept walk through. They closed the mall and told them to leave the property. Talk about traffic jams. I was smart and got dropped off. Walked across the street to get picked up and left via a back route. I must remind everyone that this is the same fire dept that shut the water off to this mall a few months ago, allowing it to burn! The same fire dept that is paying a retired battalion chief $13,000 a month. The mall was closed because of a so-called flash mob, or a group of people getting together to sing upon command. The Sacramento Choral Society said on its web site, that "Hallelujah! A Spontaneous Celebration of Great Music, Community, the Season, and the reopening of the Westfield Galleria at Roseville," was planned. The group took its event outside after the mall was closed. Roseville Fire battalion chief Peter Mashnat said people claimed the floor was shifting and moving, and that they heard cracks and pops in the foundation. He said officials wanted to evacuate people as quickly as possible. Structural engineers are going to the mall to check for any damage, Mashnat said. The extent of any injuries is unknown at this time.

An estimated several thousand people gathered Monday evening in the food court on the second story of the mall for a performance organized by the Sacramento Choral Society, according to Tom Dodaro, Roseville Fire Department spokesman. Dodaro said the first 911 call came at 6:30 p.m. Somebody reported hearing two pops that sounded like the floor was giving way and another said the floor was shifting. Between 40 and 50 calls then flooded 911, all of the callers worried about the floor starting to shift or too many people gathered in one spot in the mall. Emergency personnel began arriving at 6:45 p.m. and immediately started evacuations. Two engineers from the Roseville building department are inspecting the floors to test their structural integrity. The California Highway Patrol's Traffic Management Center reported that the CHP shortly before 8 p.m. closed the exits from Highway 65 to Galleria Boulevard to prevent more traffic from entering the area. A spokesman said exits from Interstate 80 near the Galleria may be closed as well until traffic in the area clears. Galleria shoppers reported that officials announced over the public address system shortly after 7 p.m. that the mall was closing. A dispatcher with the Roseville Police Department said the closure was announced because the mall was overcrowded and it was necessary to evacuate some people. The Sacramento Choral Society & Orchestra's website includes an invitation for people to join the group's "Random Act of Musical Kindness" at the Westfield Galleria. "Hallelujah! A Spontaneous Celebration of great Music, Community, the Season, and the reopening of the Westfield Galleria at Roseville," the website said. "Come join our large Chorus of area Singers as they burst into Handel's Hallelujah Chorus much to the surprise and delight of Shoppers in the Food Court of the recently reopened Westfield Galleria at Roseville," the website said. The event was to start at 7:30 p.m. in the Galleria Food Court, middle of the upper level opposite JC Penney's. Witnesses reported that crowds were calm and there was no sign of panic. Shoppers filed out calmly. Fire and police personnel gathered at the parking garage. Restaurants on the periphery of the mall were not evacuated. There were various reports on Twitter and other social media that overcrowding had caused the floor of the food court to crack, prompting the evacuation.

The school system did a great job teaching this to my boys. They did a better job than I ever could which only served to reinforce what I was telling them about government in general.

Admittedly, I am the guy that turned the flash mob into the local constable. All I wanted to do was get in and get out to the local Victoria Secret store for my wife's new Christmas present (a red silk nightie) ... but there was so many annoying people in the crowd (especially fat men/women) that were eating a hotdawg on a stick or an ice cream cone bumping into me and asking "what are ya going to do with that get up".... They wanted to expel my youngest son but they couldn't. He had the third largest math scores in the district and it would have dropped their numbers. His crime? He got in a fight at 5pm nowhere near the school. They claimed he was lying even though the witnesses backed up his story. The other boy who lied through his teach was telling the truth according to them. Yeah my boys saw the bullshit first hand.

We did end up homeschooling the youngest but we didn't know about the program we used until later.

Well despite the shampoo incident, both boys are extremely intelligent. Both could sit down with you and have a conversation about particle physics etc. They both have extensive vocabularies and know how to use it. They don't like you know like talk like you know the typical like teenager. The oldest, the shampoo one, currently works in the Precision Time kiosk at Galleria Mall. He also worked in the store in Redding. He gets bored when there are no customers at the kiosk so he modified the programs they use on the computer. Makes it much quicker to track things and close the store. His bosses love his upgrades. They got a new computer right before the mall burned and they made him set it up. When they put up their new kiosk, again they made him set up the computer.
