WASHINGTON, Oct. 4 (UPI) -- President Bush called on Congress Tuesday to pass expiring provisions of the Patriot Act to help prevent future terrorist attack.

Bush did no specify which provisions, but among them is the ability to establish taps on multiple telephones without needing court approval for each and every telephone of a suspect.

That provision and others have come in for criticism from civil liberty groups.

"We ... have got to continue to make sure we meet our obligations to prevent further terrorist attack," Bush said. "One of the most important effective tools for safeguarding our country is the Patriot Act.

"The Patriot Act is getting results; it's a positive piece of legislation. Congress needs to recognize that terrorist threats won't expire, and so they need to send me a bill that reauthorizes the Patriot Act."

Bush made the comments at a White House news conference.

The Patriot Act was enacted in the immediately aftermath of the 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States that killed nearly 3,000 people.

I hope they are listening in so I can remind them if they want to visit without an invitation they had better be ready to eat lead, plenty of it.

"Under every government the dernier resort of the people, is an appeal to the sword; whether to defend themselves against the open attacks of a foreign enemy, or to check the insidious encroachments of domestic foes. Whenever a people... entrust the defence of their country to a regular, standing army, composed of mercenaries, the power of that country will remain under the direction of the most wealthy citizens." Why does it seem that once you get into office, no matter what office it is, you suddenly shut off your brain, and become a fucking useless moron?

This is just more proof that there is no God watching over my country. If there were, I'm sure that he'd manage to find the best and brightest to fill the slots currently filled with the idiots who should be dancing for money in the streets.

If this government is any reflection of the American People, then we as a nation deserve to be crushed into oblivion, because a people this stupid should not be allowed to own nuclear weapons, or govern themselves.

To think that in a nation of 300 million people, these are the people we had to choose from??? Come on... There is no citizen participation in government, it's all the fat cat elites. Always has been, always will be, until Zombie Holocaust that is.

So many morons, so few bullets.

Been there and still riding it out my friend, not to beat a dead horse but belief in a higher power is very important.

Otherwise life can seem meaningless. Those of use with the analytical skills to analyze things to the point where we start to question...are we just an orchestra of wavelengths (I subscribe to wave theory) all interacting on a subatomic level to compose all the cosmos including and most importantly us. Just organic computers trying to make sense of all that we encounter with our extremely limited senses.

As man creates larger and more complicated systems the closer we get to artificial intelligence or a synthetic sentient being.

Now consider how large and complicated the universe is........

This my friend is the mind of God, all the matter that exists composes what I call God. His time frame is much different then ours due to relative sizes and the inertial qualities of such. But with infinite size comes infinite intellect which allows even such a relatively large brain with huge inertial obstacles in the path of quick thought to be overcome by the infinite parallel processing power such a mind would possess.

Bottom line.......

This orchestra of wavelengths that are interacting ubiquitous have a conductor and that is what I call God IMHO

Are we but an organic computer influenced by our environment to desire one set of neuropeptides over another, equating into competition for self worth on a primitive level never realized by the shallow and self empowering.

I agree, however, the only way to bring equilibrium back to this nation, is going to be through Zombie Holocaust. It would be the great equalizer. Sure, you have people who have lots of money who think they'd survive in their bunkers, but they'd be trapped in there with potential Zombies. Meanwhile, I'd be out there roving the land, and free.

I'll take being free in a hostile environment, over being a slave in a peaceful one any day.

So many morons, so few bullets.

I'm sorry... I quit taking a lot of stuff seriously after the big press conference with the moron in chief. I mean... How can you possibly take your country seriously, when your president is a guy who talks about NOTHING.

NOT ONE of the reporters said anything that had any merit, value, or relevance to the country's current state.

So, how can anyone be serious about anything?

So many morons, so few bullets.

Realatively imposible when one has no stake in the future.
