Just as with churches, when one has to sit there and wonder which stuff of his is credible and has a basis and spend time and energy figuring it out, it's not worth the attention.

Excellent point. And since I do not want to waste time fact checking everything Jones says I solved the problem by ceasing to listen. Oh, and I don't buy or watch his videos.

Jones is over the top alarmism. It appears to be aimed at keeping people agitated and numbing them into inaction. While some, even a large portion, of the the information he presents is valid I was also aware of it from other sources and research mostly before I ever listened to him. He did provide details I didn't have such as particular incidents, but as far as the overall picture goes what he presents was nothing particularly new.

As you say, the predictable reaction to focusing on the problem too long is to shut down from the overwhelm, giving in to the dissonance of frustration and then going back to minding one's own business, which is becoming a smaller and tighter personal prison day by day. You may change your ring tone, select your tunes but don’t you dare see that you are being lied to on a grand scale!

It is one thing to realize that we are reaching a peak of dark secrets coming to the surface to be skimmed off of the pure molten metal in an inevitable process consistent with the natural laws of this Universe.

Like observing any other aspect of this world of light and shadow, we can understand it even if it offends our aesthetic sense or our sense of justice.

It is quite another thing to be out selling that "fact" out of context, to market the hell out of a doomsday scenario until hell breaks loose!

Jones and all the other willing collaborationists with the agenda of the media_Matrix are selling fractured slices of the picture as the big picture when in fact, they are passing on limited hangouts, camouflaging the true Big Picture with trappings of fearful fascinations to trap the superficial mind in endless loops of anxiety.

One of the fundamental mind games being played on us is the idea of objective reality and of facts being real even when recited out of context.

The dualistic mind traps of:

Objective good, Subjective bad
Thought good, Feeling bad
Conformity to the herd good, Leading the herd by going your own way bad

The Church of Materialist Reductionist Science is guilty of this in a big way!

Perfectly dovetailing with the media_Matrix's agenda to transform fluid, created, manipulated media representation of the Real into a stone tablet called "Reality" or history, The Church of Science thunders with the same repetitious hypocrisy used by all previous institutions of social control, spewing data out of context and insisting that you worship at the altar of selected facts. The only difference is the added pretense that this Church’s dogma is more “grounded” and “real”.

The Church of Science, sponsored by the corrupted Oligarchic triumvirate of secret organizations, private, corporate and governmental, is guilty of even more heinous hypocrisy than previous institutions because the very scientific method to which lip service is being paid contains the antidote to self-serving lies, the corrective feedback process is built-in, should anyone have the courage to apply it!

The Church of Science, not to be confused with the scientific method - the process of continually testing experience in the search for truth - which is the crown jewel in our intellectual treasure chest, has been built on lies, the lies of omission.

The willful ignorance nay the deliberate suppression of any facts which do not conform to theoretical dogma, do not serve the agenda of the control of technology available to the public, discarding facts which threaten the smug complacency of the political consensus among the priests of the Church of Science are lies of omission and no less than a crime against human understanding.

A fact out of context is NO LONGER FACTUAL. A partial truth is NO LONGER TRUE. A piece of the puzzle cannot replace or stand in for the entire picture.

A fact with pretensions of being true for all time must be a living thing, evolving and growing, trimming away cultural biases and expanding in scope until it becomes congruent with the entire Universe.

The problem with the emphasis on “hard cold facts” is that they are meaningless until creatively assembled in good faith into a self-consistent context. Continually removing bias and distortion is the only way to apprehend the Truth. This is more like work so it is much easier just to accept the judge’s ruling as objective reality, the news story as something more than just a tale told by a fool, the official pronouncement as something more than mere propaganda.

IOW, reality is continual flux, not the static thing that our minds store as knowledge.

If we take this as a proposition, then it follows that every event, every feeling. every thought is a part of a creative continuum and is unique throughout time. It is only our abstraction into concepts, symbols and code for our ease and convenience that hides this truth from us.

But wait! What about science’s need for repeatable experiments? Thank you for asking grasshopper! The art of creating a valid experiment involves controlling context down to the tiniest variable. It is an artificial creation of context, removing as much complexity as possible, so that even though created on the noise of endlessly unique events, we can create a repeating pattern, a sound that resonates long enough for us to perceive it.

Especially in our automaton culture, we take the abstracted perception of the endlessly new and reduce the Real into endless echoes of stuck-ness, reflecting our mental ruts and rigid perceptions outward onto reality, until we confuse the map with the territory, our static perception superimposed onto the endlessly dynamic mistaken for the Real....

We have been trained by the cult our entire lives to take information and make it into false idols of knowledge, capturing the butterfly of Truth then killing it and mounting in our dusty libraries. We think we are gaining wisdom as we accumulate “things that ain’t so” in our minds, like a big game hunter collecting dead trophies as a poor substitute for the living experience he had in the past.

Knowledge out of context, dead knowledge is not wisdom! Accumulation of the dust and detritus from a living thought process is not the way! Only the ongoing operation, only the PROCESS of truth-seeking itself, only learning how to learn (and unlearn) is wisdom!

Wisdom is not the illusion of solidity but the knack of piercing through it to see the flow in real time. As soon as you store a thought as knowledge it begins to die and become invalid. The idea we had 5 minutes ago does not apply to the Now.

Our perception follows behind the unfolding of Reality like a water skier who has fallen but is being dragged in the turbulent wake of the ski boat.

Through diligent attention and the feedback of the scientific method, our perception can get closer to the source of the wake, closer and ever closer but never permanently tuned to the source. (At least, not until our consciousness grows beyond clinging to mere sensory processing into direct perception, but we have to master this level first)

I am both amused and bemused by how many "patriots" filter things "through someone else's perception". I guess that is a hard habit to break.

They're just in a smaller herd. Everything else is the same as being in the big herd. And not too many will go against their particular herd and think for themselves, even if they call themselves "truth seekers". IMO they are too worried about what others will think of them.

WTF, we're all black sheep, pretty much rejected by society. Why not live it to the fullest?
