John Bullock and Domonta Jones say that they didn't sexually assault a woman with a live snake. Instead, they said, the sex was consensual. And the snake? Quite real, evidently. Police say the 32-year-old woman, a friend named Sophie, and Bullock, 24, were partying at Jones' home the night of Nov. 11. Jones, 25, lured her into a bedroom, beat her over the head and threw her to the ground. The next thing she knew, the men had pulled off her jeans and bra, and yanked her panties aside. Jones was holding her down while Bullock raped her. Then she heard Jones say, "I'll get the snake." She felt the snake inside her, maybe even biting her, and she remembered someone saying, "Pull it out." When the ordeal was over, she retreated to a bathroom with Sophie, who rather than offering some consolation, started complaining about the victim having sex with her man. What the men call consensual sex, assistant district attorney Meri Larson calls "a violent attack on the victim." Jones, of Altoona, and Bullock, of Eau Claire, were charged with first-degree sexual assault and are being held on $30,000 bond each. They pleaded not guilty on Monday. Jones is a registered sex offender who is monitored by a GPS tracker.
