CAMP WILLIAMS — Today's groundbreaking for a $1.5 billion National Security Administration data center is being billed as important in the short term for construction jobs and important in the long term for Utah's reputation as a technology center.

"This will bring 5,000 to 10,000 new jobs during its construction and development phase," Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, said on Wednesday. "Once completed, it will support 100 to 200 permanent high-paid employees."

Utah – Jan. 13, 2010 Officially named the Utah Data Center, the facility's role in aggregating and verifying dizzying volumes of data for the intelligence community has already earned it the nickname "Spy Center." Its really long moniker is the Community Comprehensive National Cyber-security Initiative Data Center — the first in the nation's intelligence community.

A White House document identifies the Comprehensive National Cyber-security Initiative as addressing "one of the most serious economic and national security challenges we face as a nation, but one that we as a government or as a country are not adequately prepared to counter." The document details a number of technology-related countermeasures to the security threat.

Hatch said Utah was chosen for the project over 37 other locations. He characterized the cyber-security center as the "largest military construction project in recent memory."

Hatch said he promoted Utah's favorable energy costs, Internet infrastructure, thriving software industry and proximity to the Salt Lake City International Airport in the bid process that ended up with Camp Williams earning the data center.

The Army Corps of Engineers is overseeing the project that is under contract to a joint venture between Big-D Construction in Salt Lake City, U.K.-based Balfour Beatty Construction and DPR Construction out of California.

"This project is going to give an opportunity for an awful lot of Utahns" who have seen construction jobs in Utah drop from 100,000 in 2008 to about 66,000 today, said Rob Moore, president and COO of Big-D and chairman of the Associated General Contractors in Utah. "My subcontractors, suppliers and vendors are very appreciative of the work that will be available on this project."

Grading work is already under way for the complex, which is scheduled to include 100,000 square feet for the data center and 900,000 square feet for technical support and administrative space. The center is designed to be capable of generating all of its own power through backup electrical generators and will have both fuel and water storage. Construction is designed to achieve environmentally significant LEED Silver certification.

"It is so unique and so intensive," Hatch said. "This will establish our state as one of the leading states for technology." (1 image)

Oh goody, more highly paid gubmint employees.

And isn't that special, once again all about the jobs.

Isn't that just the truth?

When these projects finish, I'll predict now that a bunch of us will be getting visits from gubmint people insisting that they're there to help.

Well we will have to find new employment spots for all those hired for the project. After all, no one ever leaves government employment unless it is to retire to a fat pension.

That's precisely why I believe that if we are ever to see liberty restored, a complete collapse of the economy is necessary. Because despite this so-called influx of "tea party" people into our FedGov, it's growing regardless, and particularly in all the most liberty-threatening ways!

Have you heard about or seen stuff related to the New Republic that is forming? I have done little research and know people on both sides of the issue. Now sure what to think and don't have the time to research it.

Probably a front for the next phase/slide into the NWO.

Or another way to discredit patriots. A warning against this group came out of JBS.

Here was the original email I received, names omitted of course save one that is public.

To JBS Coordinators, Section Leaders, and Chapter Leaders in the Western United States:

Over the past year, I've heard tales of a group that seems to be a spin-off of the "sovereign citizens movement." it calls itself "The Republic for the united States of America." Coordinator Dale Pearce first alerted me to the group when their leaders were giving some kind of warning to state governors of the 50-states. We've come across various aspects of the sovereign citizens movement for many years and generally warn our members to stay away from any association with these groups. This is the case with this new group; we definitely should steer clear of them.

According to Bill Hahn, Public Relations Manager of JBS Headquarters has "been contacted by The Republic for the united States of America and asked to help them get the word out on the actual de jour government (Constitution) as opposed to the de facto government (the United States Corporation). Ed Hayes (Arizona) called to discuss this. He was a member, but is now caught up in all of this. It appears this has roots in the sovereign citizen movement."

Bill went on to write in his e-mailed message, "You can see Tim Turner (who has been elected President of the de jour Republic) discuss this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DVwEPUeLyto

They claim to have the backing of the military and the Supreme Court. You can read some of their claims here: http://www.panamalaw.org/tim_turner_is_now_the_interim_president_of_new_republic_of_united_states.html

And here is their actual website: http://republicfortheunitedstates.org/ " (end quote).

Bill suggested to JBS Headquarters leadership "that we send them a "thanks, but no thanks" email and let it be at that."

So out here in the field we will leave it to headquarters to give this movement's leaders the message that we're not interested in participating in their movement or programs. In the meantime, let's just warn our members to steer clear of them. Some of their members have given notice to the 50 state governors and thus attracted the attention of the FBI. These people may find themselves charged with sedition or some other federal charge if they keep playing their strange games.

Let's make sure no JBS members get caught up in this movement. Thank you for you help.

Thank you. Fortunately I am not particularly attracted to such groups - too many of them have, in the past, turned out to be nothing but a CoIntelPro type operation. They exist to identify and attract certain types of individuals - and with the exception of the leadership ain't exactly sharp tools. Some of them may be earnest in their beliefs but they are barking up the wrong tree by and large.
