I think I finally understand. Somehow,somewhere,sometime or someplace, some cat put the turtle to shame. He is carrring on like some kid that was spurned at the prom. Another possibility is some kitty kicked the crap out of one of his beloved pugs {ugliest dogs on the planet} or maybe even the turtle himself. The hatred is deep and all consuming.
