I keep reading about the “historic” election of 2010, when white people began deserting the Democrats, and the GOP actually got 60% of the white vote, as if this is a good thing. It isn’t. The Republican party is just as committed to destroying white America as the Democrats are. They just believe it can be done without raising taxes.

Anyone who’s excited about the “potential” of the Tea Party movement simply isn’t paying attention. The TP types love our big foreign wars on behalf of Israel, they love the entitlements that are going to bankrupt America like Medicare and the prescription drug plan, and they love big government intruding into our private lives in the name of “civil rights” (as long as it’s only done in the name of Equality for blacks and Mexicans, and not homos). They really believe that the Civil Rights movement, which outlawed free association and private property rights that non-whites don’t approve of, was an expansion of freedom and liberty. If you don’t believe me, just go to $arah Palin’s Facebook page and read the comments on her tribute to Martin Luther King. First off, no lover of freedom and liberty would be offering any kind of tribute to King. Palin isn’t a friend of freedom and liberty. She’s a money grubbing opportunist, who resigned her post as governor of Alaska in order to make tens of millions of dollars. She’s riding the gravy train, and she has no intention of doing anything to slow it down, such as telling the truth about King. Either that, or she really believes the garbage she posted on her page:

“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.

Today is a day to reflect on the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr. King dedicated himself to justice and the struggles of an imperfect world. In the face of fierce opposition, he stood up for the oppressed, and he ultimately sacrificed all for equality and freedom. His was a remarkable life of love and service for all mankind. His work must continue.

With Dr. King’s faith in God and his unwavering hope in a brighter, stronger future, let us recommit today to continuing his work for a more peaceful and just nation.

- Sarah Palin

Think that’s bad? Then you should get a load of some of the over 1600 comments she received. This is typical:

Thank God for Dr. Martin King. He freed us all- both black and white! He freed us all.

That came from a white man, Jim Horne. And he’s a Southerner. And he lists as his favorite book Atlas Shrugged.

No, I’m not kidding.

Here’s another one:

Contrary to popular belief, Dr. King was very politically conservative and a registered Republican voter. The man dedicated himself and gave his life in the case of racial inequality. Too many people these days have the incorrect impression that connects him to the radical and racially divisive hard left socialist democrats that are trying convert our country into their idea of a social utopia without regard to the basic rights of the people and undermine the US Constitution.

Dr. King worked within the principles and framework of the Constitution to bring needed changes. He stood for what was right and put his life on the line for it, for this reason, I hold him in the highest respect.

As with any human being, yes the man had his flaws. But we should all remember it’s his message that’s the most important.

That’s from a Dave Rollhauser. He doesn’t show his picture, but as virtually every one of the 1600+ commenters on Palin’s thread who do have pictures are white, I’m pretty sure he is, too.

You can read about how if King were still alive, he’d be disgusted with Obama for being a liberal. To hear Palin’s fans tell it, King would be at Tea Party rallies denouncing Obamacare because he hated big government.

Here are some more samples of what many Sarah Palin fans think of Martin Luther King:

A Stephanie Chandler: To honor a man who honored the LORD

Julie Gillette: MLK Jr was a great Republican! Thank you Sarah for your wonderful statement.

Brandi Naragon: And forgotten today is the real hero, Rosa Parks. Without her courage, where would we be? Why do we celebrate the talker and not the doer? I for one, do not celebrate today. I teach my students about MLK not on his birthday, or in Febru…ary (how demeaning to lump all black historical figures into one month as if they weren’t important enough to learn about without that month.) We cover MLK when we cover the 196082;s, and I make sure my students know that without Rosa Parks and the others doing the hard things, he would not have been remembered. Others such as Booker T. Washington and George Washington Carver are also studied in context and based on their contributions, not the color of their skin. I think King would be very disappointed to see how race is even a subject for conversation today. His dream has not been fulfilled as long as we continue to bring up the color of a person’s skin.

Loren Cole: It’s too bad that traffic this morning wasn’t much better than any other workday. Hopefully, as time goes on, more Americans will honor this man of peace.

Joe L. Wolf: I wish Dr. King was alive today to give his people guidence. They are being led astray by socialism, false pride, and godless behavior.

Teri Sanders: As I look over some of the comment on the statement that Sarah Palin reflected on the day to honor and remember Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., I am reminded on how self centered we are. Dr. King saw change coming through peace and the use of our voice. He had taken his actions of demonstration from Gandhi and Jesus the Christ (Anointed one). When we put LOVE (Jesus Christ) in the center of all and emulate His actions, Dr. King did, we would have less violence. We will be able to hear each other.

Pauline Sodermark: Thank God for Martin Luther King. He gave this nation a conscience.

Dave Clutter: Thank you Sarah! All skin colors love MLK, and his place in history. America loves you too Sarah, (despite the media and the left attempts to demonize you).

Robby Edward Perrine Jr: I SINCERELY BELIEVE IF MORE NON-BLACK PEOPLE KNEW ABOUT DR. KINGS BELIEFS , THEY WOULD UNDERSTAND AND BELIEVE ! ..AND EXCEPT THE HOLIDAY , BUT ITS NOT ABOUT ( BLACK-NESS) ITS ABOUT “EQUALITY” THAT HE MARCHED FOR ALL PEOPLES RIGHTS , YOURS AND MINE”)……!

America Freedom: I doubt MLK would feel any pride for Obama and his socialist agendas. Its disturbing to mention the two men in the same sentence.

Carl C. Foley: MLK was a true leader and inspiration who didnt play politics and cared about all. he was a great man..im so tired of ppl comparing Obama to MLK bc the only thing they have in common is…nothing MLK will nvr be forgotton and his struggles and passion will always be in our hearts…

The brainwashed and brain-dead folks on $arah’s Facebook page need to take a look at the facts.
