I'm guessing a competitor for the iPad.

Thanks Pal!

Based on Android OS, similar to the NOOK by Barnes & Noble, I think I have bot an e reader and a functional computer in a device that is about the size of a larger magazine, and has a wild touch screen.

Looked at the NOOK a few days ago, and I "think" I got a lot more fore less, the NOOK retails for $150 and "I think" has much more limited capabilities than an Android tablet.

And I do not even have the thing in my hand yet - maybe it will be broke when I get it, but I was not too aware of this explosion of cheap really Hi Tech super friendly computational power in the market right now.

Heads Up 4UM. These tablets are going to change things. How I do not know.

The cost of basic computing power is going down again and because of their ease of use and portability they will eclipse most notebook computers. Apple has been trying to prevent that by making the iPad less capable than it could be, for example no USB port, and not have it cut into their notebook computer sales, but I think the competition is going to force their hand.

Open Systems Win.

Me-I do not know if this is true.

If so, from what I can see, is Android wins over Kindle.

Hands down from what I have heard. I suspect Apple is going to be forced into either dropping the price on the iPad, adding more functionality, or both. And they will have to enable data exchange between the iPad and other Macs, along with porting over OS X to the iPad.

Also because there will be competitors that will offer most of the functionality of a PC because the Pad type computer is their main product Apple will have no choice or they will again lose market share because of their high prices.

Competition is good for the consumer.
